Springtime in TX--Suing to be on Cheer Squad

Posted on: May 12, 2009 6:37 pm
You know it's Springtime in Texas when lawsuits are being filed because little Bobbie Sue, she of big blonde hair and even bigger, fake boobs, did not make the HS Cheerleading squad.

Because she missed too many days of school, Savannah Payne received a suspension, meaning she couldn't try out for the cheerleading squad.  Because being a cheerleader is the dream of every Texan girl who is good looking and likes to jump around in tight and short outfits (as well as the dream of every mother of ever Texas girl), Savannah and her mother filed a lawsuit against the school in an attempt to avert this atrocity.

Maybe there's something to the complaint.  Maybe there's not, but a judge did issue a restraining order on cheerleading tryouts.  Needless to say, all the other Bobbie Sues (and undoubtedly their mothers) are not happy about the tryouts being put on hold.

Not that this has any relevance to the lawsuit, but I note the mother's last name is not the same as the girl.  There is also no mention of the father.  I'm not sure if that's because he's not around or becuase he's embarrassed about the whole situation.
