Hitting .200 in the Major Leagues has always been the Mendoza Line. We now officially have the WoodLine. Hitting at .100 or below will now be referred to as the WOODLINE. As a huge Angel Fan I would like to see Brandon Wood over come this fear that is obvious when he steps into the batters box. Until then, the Wood-Line is born!

Predicted a three game sweep of the Rangers by the Rays. 2 games down and going for the 3rd game today! If the Angels would spend some time pulling their heads out of that dark crevice down below they would have been right back in it.

Lack luster play and lack of hunger at the plate! Mr. Hatcher may have run his course in Anaheim??????

Just Talking the great game of baseball.....

The Brandon Wood scenario is still playing out to this day! What will the Angels do with Aybar hurt, Izturis hurt, and now having to turn to Brandon Wood to hold steady at shortstop. His batting average is still hovering between the Wood Line and the Mendoze Line. This is .154 or so....

Check back in at a later date to see if there have been any changes. Until he starts playing with a little confidence I don't see it happening. But you can't have any confidence when all you see is 0-4 in the boxscore!!

Good luck Woodie, I hope you turn it around.

Halo Power!

The Mendoza Line and Now the WoodLine!

The drop continues. How long will the Angel organization wait to bring in someone to fill the gap and where is that Grienke and/or Oswalt trade.

Two years ago there was a guy named Matt Brown that came off a great Olympic performance and followed it with a great spring training that we let slip away. He would have been a better fit. The only problem was that he did not have all the press clippings that followed Brandon Wood.

.158 and counting. Getting aggressive at the plate has seemed to make a difference in this kids production. He will end up at around .265 with 15-20 HomeRuns. This to go along with a great glove is definitely an improvement at 3B for the Halos!

Laughing

Attention! Attention! Brandon Wood has raised his avaerage above the WOOD LINE. He is now hitting .102. He has also driven in his first 2 runs of the season in an Angel victory. Next stop the Mendoza Line!

Go Halos! You can light it up!
