It looks like Eagles QB Michael Vick is off the hook regarding the shooting that occurred during his birthday party last month. Now, he’ll wait to see what commissioner Roger Goodell has to say about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
As the Philadelphia Inquirer writes, the Virginia Beach police have closed the case without filing charges. The police said they identified the assailant who shot a former Vick associate a few minutes after Vick left the party – all of this falls under the “alleged” category, because details were sketchy and conflicting – but because the victim was uncooperative, they couldn’t charge anybody.
Don’t expect the Eagles to release Vick from the roster with this latest bit of news. But we’ll still have to wait to see if Goodell will suspend Vick.
