For those wondering how Eagles quarterback Michael Vick’s probation and his inability to leave the state of Pennsylvania will affect him as the season unfolds, NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora wrote Monday that it won’t.
One source close to Vick told La Canfora: "This will not keep him from doing his job and going on the road with the Eagles."
And while we’re discussing Michael Vick, the National Football Post’s Matt Bowen has a breakdown on the reasons why the Eagles probably shouldn’t cut him.
Reason No. 1: who could Philadelphia get to replace Vick in backing up Kevin Kolb? Probably not third-string choice Mike Kafka, a rookie out of Northwestern. Even if Philadelphia wanted to release Vick – and there are reports out there that say that – Bowen makes the argument the Eagles would be better served to leave him on the roster.
