When you think of the term “displaced knee cap,” that would seem to imply a player who would be out of action for many weeks and many games. Apparently, that’s not true in Cardinals TE Ben Patrick’s case.
Patrick suffered the aforementioned injury in practice Wednesday, but according to the Arizona Republic , he should return to the field for the start of the regular season.
After the injury, Patrick underwent an MRI, which showed no ligament damage. Good news for a club that’s now is nursing three injured tight ends (Anthony Becht has a bad back and Jim Dray had a quadriceps muscle strain) back to health.
