Knowshon Moreno out for Week 4

Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels said he expects running back Knowshon Moreno to miss Sunday’s game against the Titans. Moreno is nursing a right hamstring injury. The injury left him inactive last week against the Colts. K. Moreno (US Presswire)

The second-year pro sat out most of the preseason with a left hamstring injury. Moreno’s fragility inspired Denver to sign former Patriot Laurence Maroney (who, ironically, was released by New England because of his own fragility).

Maroney will likely start Sunday, with Correll Buckhalter serving as the third-down back.

McDaniels also said that linebacker/utility man Spencer Larsen will not play. Larsen injured his ankle against the Colts.

Knowshon Moreno out for Week 4

The longer we get into Moreno's short career the more I think he's soft.  I've been a Broncs fan my whole life and have tried to remain optimistic through this new regime.   B
ut this another dent in the armor of the McDaniels round table.   Drafting an undersized running back already injury prone in the 1st round was a big mistake.  How much time has this guy missed already??  McDaniels came in like King Arthur recruiting people for a crusade and casting out anyone who thought differently.  I think he's a great offensive mind but he's just too immature to be a head coach yet.  I hope I'm totally wrong but I give him 1 more year after this and it will be onto the next coach in the Mile High city.

so the Patsies fans were saying that Maroney is a dancer.  Man that could not be more true.  Shanahan coveted Maroney because he was supposidly a one cut player in college...what happened?

Knowshon Moreno out for Week 4

The latest news on Knowshon Moreno says that he hurt his hamstring running 'post practice sprints'. What in the world are the Denver Broncos doing having a dinged up player running sprints on a bad hamstring. I wish Josh McDaniels good luck, as I do with most young profressionals, but come on. That is pure stupidity. I couldn't see the Patriots teaching him that when he was the offensive coordinator. It's one thing to lie to the media or to the Bills, Jets or Dolphins about your injuries, but DO NOT lie to yourself.

The Broncos are going to be in real trouble with Kyle Orton not having a single weapon in the backfield to take the Titans minds off of his mediocre talents, the same way Vince Young becomes invisible when the defense is staring down Chris Johnson. This could've been avoided so easily though. This is the same NFL that wants to go to 18 games right? They should teach these temas how to respect their assets!

seriously?  cut LM?  One week in a new system and you are already saying he is not doing much.  FYI  none of the running backs have been doing much.
