Posted by Josh Katzowitz OK, so Brett Favre has been accused of sending a former Jets employee lewd pictures and made multiple phone calls in an effort to coerce her to his hotel room. OK, so Favre has been accused by two former massage therapists of inappropriate behavior. OK, so Favre is now being investigated by the NFL.
And now comes the news that Favre has tendinitis in his throwing elbow (if you look at the photo to the right, you can see the ice pack on his right arm). An MRI taken this week, writes the Minneapolis Star Tribune, showed inflammation.
Suffice to say, it has not been a great week for the Vikings QB.
"It was not an issue before we went on the bye and we worked pretty good on Monday and Tuesday out here," Childress told reporters today. "It flares up every now and then. [The] MRI just says he has a little inflammation. You manage it and you kind of let his body talk to him and he takes turns that he needs (to) take on specific plays that he needs to take them on. It's not a lot different than last year. Tarvaris [Jackson] probably had more practice time last year than most No. 2 quarterbacks.”
And as far as the allegations that Favre enjoys flirting with women who are not his wife, Childress said it has not been a big issue in the locker room.
"It's not a distraction to us at all," Childress said. "We just don't let it be. We address it, we talk about it and we're done with it. I haven't heard anything. I don't know anything about (the NFL investigation)."
