Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion during the overtime period as the Redskins upset the Packers on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

ESPN initially reported the news, and our Mike Freeman alerted me that Rodgers "didn't meet with the media" and that the only information being provided is that it's a concussion and that Rodgers suffered it during overtime -- there's no indication how severe the injury is just yet.

Aaron Nagler of Cheesehead.tv notes that Rodgers "took a helmet to helmet hit on the pass that was intercepted" and that no flag was thrown.

Update (5:55): CBSSports.com's Packers Rapid Reporter Greg Bedard says the Packers have confirmed it's a concussion and that if they had gotten the ball back, Matt Flynn would have taken the reigns for Green Bay.

Aaron Rodgers suffered concussion in overtime

If you asked me going into the season to name 4 players the Packers cannot win without I would say:

1. Rodgers
2. Grant
3. Matthews
4. Finley

ALL FOUR ARE INJURED

Aaron Rodgers suffered concussion in overtime

Packer fans will have to wait and see how bad the concussion to Rodgers is. They took a lot of injuries to key players in the game against the Redskins and if any of these players miss significant time it could very well mean the Gb doesn't make the playoffs this season.

The Bears have a great defense and you know that Minnesota is going to get it together. On top of that Detroit is playing better than expected and has been in every game they have played this season.

Aaron Rodgers suffered concussion in overtime

Aaron Nagler is on crack.  There was no helmet to helmet hit on the pass that was interception.  Just look at the replay.  The defender pulled up and lifted his arms.
