Colts outside linebacker Clint Session is having a career year and playing at a Pro Bowl level. The fourth-year pro leads all Colts linebackers in tackles and has been one of the better all-around playmakers in pass defense.

So, it’s no surprise that Session does not want his season to end. Problem is, he suffered a fractured forearm and dislocated elbow against the Texans Monday night. An injury like that is normally a fast pass to Injured Reserve. But according to the National Football Post, Session is going to play through the injury instead.

Think he can’t? He already did Monday. Session left the game briefly in the second quarter, only to return in the second half and finish with eight tackles and a sack. He has not practiced all week, but he hopes to play against the Eagles.

The Colts have always been great at seamlessly replacing injured players, particularly at linebacker. If Session is unavailable, Philip Wheeler would reclaim a starting spot. Wheeler recently lost his first-string job to rookie Pat Angerer.
