D. Woody
In the middle of a nine-quarter touchdown drought, the last thing the Jets need right now is an injury on offense. But on Monday, right tackle Damien Woody, one of the most consistent all-around blockers in the NFL, confirmed that he is having his injured right knee scoped. Woody is out for at least Week 15 against the Steelers. He does not yet know what his timetable is for a return.

Woody re-injured his right knee in the first quarter against the Dolphins Sunday. He says an MRI revealed more damage than what was there when he initially injured the knee in late November. Woody had been trying to play through the injury.

Career backup Wayne Hunter struggled mightily filling in for Woody Sunday. The Jets, however, have no other options at right tackle.

The Jets will get no sympathy from the Steelers who have been playing with backups at both tackle positions for the bulk of the season. All the same it is to bad for Woody. He seems to be a good guy. Hopefully he will be ok for the playoffs should the Jets make it.
