T. Polamalu
Just because Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has won the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award the past two weeks doesn’t mean he’s 100 percent. Polamalu’s lower leg has been bothering him and, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, he’s unlikely to play this Sunday against the Jets.

Polamalu reportedly re-aggravated the injury in the second quarter against the Bengals. He has not practiced the last two days (missing Wednesday and Thursday practice has become the norm for him the past few weeks).

If Polamalu sits, Ryan Mundy or Will Allen would start.

They're not 100% sure, but they believe aaron smith will have a good chance to play in the first playoff game if they get a bye. Looks like troy might be on the same route of resting until the playoffs.

SMURPH,  Not sure when we started comparing SB rings, last I knew we were talking about a weak patriots offense. All I'm saying is it's not weak as was suggested. To everyone else, I don't think Pats fans are overconfident, the first half of the season they were miserable, I think the recent play is evidence of the team gelling and that's what is exciting, a young team (technically rebuilding). There is no question they will be SB contenders for at least 3 maybe 5 more years, barring injuries. Hey, there is no question that fluke SB loss hurt, it definitely did. Take a look at Brady's face next week and the week after and the week after that and you tell me if that's driving him or holding him back.

I agree and hope that the Steelers rest Troy the rest of the season so that he well rested and healthy for the playoff run. Troy's presence is a big loss but I beleive that we can get enough pressure on the Dirty Sanchez and force him to make some mistakes. If the Saints can knock off the Ravens this week which will be no easy task and the Steelers can pull out a victory I wouldn't mind them sitting a few more players in the two remaining games vs. the patethic panthers and the on and off Browns.

Has anyone heard any recent progress on Aaron Smith? Last I heard he was lifting again but would be evaluated in a few weeks. The comeback of Aaron Smith and a healty Troy would be the icing on the cake for one of the top units in the league.

Primanti's and Football that's what Pittsburgh does!!
