Rodgers cleared to play Sunday

Say goodbye to Matt Flynn, starting Packers QB.

Aaron Rodgers says he’ll be back in time for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants, according to

Rodgers said he’s passed all the requisite post-concussion tests, and for a team that needs to win its final two games to be assured of a postseason berth, that’s wonderful news.

“I’ve been cleared,” Rodgers said. “It’s not that big of a story. Is it?”

Flynn, in Green Bay’s 31-27 loss to New England on Sunday, played well, but his inexperience showed in the final minute of the game where it took more than 20 seconds to snap the ball and the Packers never got a clear shot at the end zone. He'll return to being the No. 2 QB.

Rodgers cleared to play Sunday

Dude (ARodgers-JC)... guys like Quinn Johnson???  Are you kidding me?!?  While I love the Pack as much as you, I wouldn't want to list him as someone who plays big in these kind of games.  If you look at that offensive lineman returning a kickoff for 70-some yards (in a little less than 3 minutes), you will notice that Quinn Johnson "blocked" so well on that play he took out 4 Packer teammates.  The dude has a high tendancy to avoid blocks and blocking by turning his body.  Not a good thing for Fullbacks, and I have heard a couple of former Packers noting this and assuming if he doesn't change, he will not make it thru training camp next year.  Should be a good game this Sunday, I just hope they don't count on Quinn Johnson to provide that extra boost!  :)  GO PACK!!

Rodgers cleared to play Sunday

We'll see about that pal.  Giants are a good football team, but this isn't the Eagles defense you're going up against this week.  Guys like Kuhn, Matthews, Woodson, Raji, Quinn Johnson, and Collins are guys that step up in big games like this.  To call us a bunch of pansy's is a pretty unbelievable statement.
We've lost 6 games by a combined 20 points and there's no doubt that the NFC North has played the toughest schedule in the league thus far.  Playing at Philly, at New York, at New England, at Chicago, and oh yeah one of our FLEX games was AT ATLANTA.  When your easy games are considered to be Detroit (twice), Minnesota (twice), Miami, Buffalo, at Washington and the Giants and Bears at home that is a tough schedule.
The Giants have won games they were supposed to win and have been beaten badly in others.  Tennessee and Dallas beat you down at home and Indy carved you up in the dome.   The Packers won't be up for this game?  Why?  If anything going into New England and basically exposing the Pats (I had the Pack +14.5... how could you not?) shows that this team will take any team they go against down to the wire.
The Giants loss AT HOME hurts them much much more than the Packers' loss.  There is no doubt there.  You have to win two games on the road compared to our two games at home to clinch a berth.  Vegas doesn't lie, and when the line comes out this week the Packers will likely be favored by 3 points.
Rodgers will be fine and the Packers will likely press put press coverage on Nicks and Manningham and let our bunch of misfit backups do what they do, which is stuff the run and pressure the quarterback and allow the fewest points in the league.

As a Packer fan I say that the Jets go into Soldier Field and take down the Bears.  Also, alot of that info is incorrect with your analysis NFCBEAR.  First off.... It's MIAMI not MAIMI ok? Lets just get that straight.  Second, we lost to Chicago W/O GRANT and that was by far our worst game of the year.  We dominated every statistical category, especially penalties (18) and we still should've EASILY won that game.  You guys were dominated by us, but obviously a loss is a loss.   Chicago is a good team, alot better than earlier in the year when they were losing AT HOME to Washington and SEATTLE.  The Jets are going to shut this team down, stack 8 in the box and blitz the hell out of Cutler.  Cromartie and Revis will be put on their respective "islands" and should have no problem taking care of a very weak WR corps.
The Bears are flawed, and you will see that Sunday.   Furthermore, they have nothing to play for in reality (Eagles win out no problem) and the Jets are fighting for that #5 seed.  Jets (+1) is a pick that will put money in your pocket.

GB-We beat them (with Rodgers and Grant and Finley)

Nopt sure who hat was aimed at, but nobody beat Green Bay with Rodgers, Grant and Finley in the game. Grant was injured in the opener against the Eagles, and the Packers wone that game.

Just sayin'...

I don't knowabout that. It sounds a bit like the Giants a couple of years ago with their miracle run through the playoffs...

I stand firm on the fact that our defense will shut down Forte and the Bears two WR's and force Cutler to key on Olsen. If Olsen isn't open....Cutler will throw a minimum of 2 picks. Jets 21 Bears 13.Half of Chicago's wins are against baackup/3rd string QB's and/or injured All Pro RB's.

I am pretty sure if these guys are not open Cutler can throw to his Rb's or run as well which he has been doing. We lost one game in the last two months because Cutler has been getting better about not making the big mistake. Most of our wins were against 3rd string QB's? Okay....Carolina...who is the starting QB? Same with Miami...whom you just LOST to at home...LOL!! Would it had mattered which QB either one of those teams had in there really? Detroit...we knocked Stafford out in the first game so that is why we faced someone other than the 1st stringer. How did you beat the Steelers who are 5-7 without Troy in at saftey? Who have you played? Your quality wins...
Maimi-yeah we beat em too

Buffalo-yep bwe eat em too

Minnesota-we beat em two times BADLY and they did have AP the first game beat em...what is their record this year?

Detroit-your welome (we beat em twice), if they had Stafford they would have given you a run for the money

Cleveland-who exaclty is the QB there? Another crappy team.

Houston- maybe a quality win but Houston sucks this year

Cincinnati- what a joke they are

NE- you beat em once...and then got a beat down like us. The difference is they are in your division so I would not expect those type of losses when you are expected to be a good team.

Maimi- you lost at home to...who...Henne? We beat em on the road...LOL

Pitt- you beat a team without their best defender on the field, congrats.

you lost to...
GB-We beat them (with Rodgers and Grant and Finley), you LOST and actaually got shut out
NE-see above
Baltimore-quality team

This game can go either way but you may want to look at your own team's lucky fortune before you go commenting on another.

Chip Magnet     I, as most Bears fans with a brain, will not argue that the Bears have had a great deal of luck. Did they benefit from an awful rule in week one? Yes. However the officials did not blow the call and its not a loss because of a bad nfl rule. I think we can all agree that the NFL has some preety crappy rules that have been exposed this year. Again, the bears have rercieved but taken advantage of of numerous breaks. find a championship team that doesnt during the year. No smart Bears fan has any confidence that the Bears will make it to the Super Bowl. They are not an elite team in anyway. Most fans are enjoyig the fact that they have won the division and will be in the playoffs were anything can happen. I responded to Magnums numerous in an effort to see why he is so confident that tJets will roll over the bears.

Magnum- As I said before, your defense is awsome when they decide to play. Like the Bears your offense can look like a a pro offense one week and a pop warner the next. I dont believe that your recievers are that great. Edwards has the potential to drop 5 touchdown passes. Holmes is good and will likley move the ball down the field as the bears stupid cover 2 allows teams to do. The Bears win games against anyone if they create turnovers and dominate special teams play. You cant argue that their special teams are one of, if not the best, in the NFL. I would not be surprised if the bears lose Sunday or win. I agree that it will be close.

It won't make much of a difference if he plays or not, the Giants are going to win this game.

If you are telling me they have the same chance if Flynn plays (which you pretty much are) you are rediculous.

There is no way Green Bay is going to be up for this after putting so much into the New England game and coming up just short.  One could argue that the Giants are in the same boat after blowing a big lead however statistics have shown that teams who blow big leads generally play well the following week. I don't think the Philly loss hurt the Giants as much as the Patriots loss hurt the Packers.

No way Green Bay is going to be up for this after that NE game? I think the Giants game is a MUCH more of a let your house...against a division rival....and lose after being up 31-10 with 8 minutes left? The Giants confidence has to be at a season low if you ask me. You are playing a Packer defense that is pretty damn good....Woodson will cover up Manningham so what does that leave you?
What statistics are you looking at when it comes to teams losing by big margins and playing well the next week? Would it have the scenario like this with playoff implications? Would it take in to account a team that has been without it's leader who is now coming back in front of the home crowd? Does it measure heart, passion, adrenalin which is what Matthews feeds off of?

It pains me to defend the Packers here but the Giants are no powerhouse, this game can go either way but I like the Pack here if Rodgers plays.

I look forward to the Giants re-concussing Rodgers on Sunday.  Seriously, there's a pretty good chance.

Sounds like the typical twin cities whiner. That team has become such a bunch of pansys, they can`t play anywhere, that doesn`t have a damn roof.

Actually, it looks like they can't play anywhere that has at least 11 players to line up against them - roof or no roof.
