Rodgers cleared to play Sunday

Say goodbye to Matt Flynn, starting Packers QB.

Aaron Rodgers says he’ll be back in time for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants, according to ESPNMilwaukee.com.

Rodgers said he’s passed all the requisite post-concussion tests, and for a team that needs to win its final two games to be assured of a postseason berth, that’s wonderful news.

“I’ve been cleared,” Rodgers said. “It’s not that big of a story. Is it?”

Flynn, in Green Bay’s 31-27 loss to New England on Sunday, played well, but his inexperience showed in the final minute of the game where it took more than 20 seconds to snap the ball and the Packers never got a clear shot at the end zone. He'll return to being the No. 2 QB.

Ill Redbird, if the officials would have ruled in week 1 that Calvin Johnsons catch was a TD, the Bears season would be totally different.   Their confidence would have been shattered and probably be 8-6 at best right now.   Bears are sooo overrated.

how are some of you people even allowed to get usernames!?!? honestly?  No s**t the Jets beat the steelers without troy...and i quote "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME...HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  Those are the games you are supposed to win.  When the general is down you put your damn cleats on your opponents throat and crush him...you dont let up like you're the mike sherman led packers...you go for the jugular like belichek!  do us all a favor...before you post do some research!

IllRedbird.....I never proclaimed the Jets as an "elite team." I stand firm on the fact that our defense will shut down Forte and the Bears two WR's and force Cutler to key on Olsen. If Olsen isn't open....Cutler will throw a minimum of 2 picks. Jets 21 Bears 13.Half of Chicago's wins are against baackup/3rd string QB's and/or injured All Pro RB's. Packers have more talent and I actually hate the Pack more than the Bears. I actually rooted for the Bears in the 80's in those playoff games vs the 49ers and Redskins. I have nothing against them personally. I think they are frauds and will be exposed just like in 2001 and 2005. They were fortunate to beat Seattle in 2006 too....thanks to Robbie Gould with a 51 yarder in OT. I recall Seattle was in Chicago territory in OT and chose to punt of 4th and short and punted. Very easily, Chicago's last postseason win could of been 1994 with Steve Walsh.

Don't know how much good it will do though.  I want to stay optimistic, but I've done that all year and it doens't always pay off.  2 concussions in one year...not good.  long time packer fan but as I get older I get more and more realistic.

Its obvious that you a afraid your team will lose to the Bears. Tyhe last two days you have spent a great deal of time claiming how big a fraud the Bears are. Perhaps the Jets will beat the Bears. I just dont know where your confidence comes from. Your D can be good when they decide to play. Sanchez will be your undoing. He is nothing to brag about. It took your team how long to score an offensive Td before that scramble. Yes you beat the Steelers but without their best player and heart of the team. The Bears have recieved many breaks and have played down to their competition at times but have the Jets not done the same thing? You have claimed the bears will be a one and done team. They might be. They have plenty of flaws. However so do your beloved Jets and that doesn't change just because you obnoxious coach says so.
