Favre thinks Packers will 'win it all'

It really wouldn't be the rest of the 2010 season if there wasn't some sort of drama Brett Favre, would it? And actually, it's to be expected that he'll be in the news to a degree, for as long as Aaron Rodgers is helping the Packers dominate (the comparison will exist, unfortunately, forever).

What's not to be expected is that Favre thinks the Packers are "by far" the best team left in the playoffs.

"Aaron is the best QB and the receiving corps is the best ever, maybe," Favre said in an e-mail to ESPN's Ed Werder. "But Dom [Capers] and the defense gets the MVP award at this stage."

Oh, no he did NOT just throw Rodgers a backhanded compliment like that! Just kidding -- it's nice of Favre, who just filed retirement papers with the league -- to start playing nice with Green Bay. "There is no bitterness," Favre also said. "I'm happy for them and very happy and content with my legacy."

Good for Favre -- perhaps watching Robert De Niro on the Golden Globes inspired him to realize that things could have ended worse for an all-time great.

Plus, he HAS to start working on getting back in the good graces of Packers fans. After all, he's only a few short months away from trying to begging Green Bay to sign him to a one-day contract so he can retire as a Packer!

Favre thinks Packers will 'win it all'

Hello Oldschoolpackfan, This is Oldschoolpackfan! I've mostly always hated my employers too, year after year! Really penile personalities, like most are today! I brought them glory, prestige and prosperity...But it never lasts for long...Blame it on the Earth's axis: the sinful state of man; or chance! Favre will retire a Packer HOF in 4 years! All the records, several maybe for decades +...But I believe they will make peace again! It's the Packer Way! Green Bay has truely been a God Blessed Franchise in the NFL, with the Greatest Packer Backers, Cheeseheads, and Kooks in the League! Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre are World Champion Green Bay Packers!

Favre thinks Packers will 'win it all'

I seem to remember him telling Julius Peppers to "Beat Green Bay" after the Bears/BiQueens game.

Hypocrite.

Freeman, Brooks and Rison at the super bowl time were not as good as Jordy Nelson is today the Packers Number 4 reciever.  Rison was past his prime and Brooks set records year after year for dropped passes.  Chumura was a better tight end then Quarless and Jackson was past his prime. Sterling Sharpe though was the best reciever either of them had.

Favre thinks Packers will 'win it all'

This is the same guy prior to week 17 told Peppers after the Vikes game to go out and beat the Packers.  He's not complimenting the Packers, only trying to piss off the Bears for the game on Sunday.  What a knob shine!!!!

Favre thinks Packers will 'win it all'

Does anyone remember "All My Packers"? It was an embarrassingly funny radio soap opera with the players as characters, going back to Forest Gregg's brief stint as coach.  Back then, a radio soap was the best entertainment the team had to offer, on or off the field!  Brett came to GB and changed all that, so I feel he can be forgiven his antics over the past couple of years. He wanted to play football and the Packers didn't need him.  How hard must it be for him, having lost 2 conference championships in the past 3 seasons, to express such strong belief in this Packer team??  I intend to enjoy the remainder of this fantastic season--never know when things will revert to the time when we looked forward to the Monday morning installment of "All My Packers" because the games were so disappointing.
