Obama says 'we're going' if Bears make Super Bowl

President Barack Obama isn't exactly scared of letting the world know about his profound love of sports, particularly those teams based in the Windy City. He fills out an NCAA tournament bracket, he played ball with a bunch of Carolina players, he threw out the first pitch at a White Sox game and he tried to get LeBron James to come to Chicago, to name a few recent events.

Now he says if the Bears make the Super Bowl (and they only need to defeat Green Bay on Sunday to do so), he'll be there as well.

"Oh, we're going," Mr. Obama answered a reporter's question. "If the Bears are in the Super Bowl, we're going."

This shouldn't come as a big surprise; if a Chicago team is playing in a big event, the President goes. (Although it should come as a big disaster for anyone else who attends -- security will be bad enough as it is, but add in the Prez and things will be disastrous.)

And, frankly, I don't blame him. Even though people freak out engage in pleasant rhetoric whenever Obama attends up a sporting event, when you're elected President of the United States, you get -- at most -- two "chances" to be powerful enough where you can do whatever you want and not worry about anyone actually doing anything to stop you. For a couple of years anyway.

Or maybe that just explains why I'm not in politics. Either way, the simple solution is too just pull for the Packers this weekend.

Obama says 'we're going' if Bears make Super Bowl

ROBOCOOP1 stated ... Jetiii- When Bush went to the Rangers' games, he wasn't President, so the only expense to taxpayers was his Secret Service detail, not the tens of millions of taxpayer dollars, both frederal and local, it will cost for Obama to go.

Please visit the link below for a record of games Bush attended WHILE IN OFFICE. Thanks and have a great day!
