Santana Moss will be a free agent

S. Moss
If there is indeed free agency this offseason, Santana Moss will be part of it. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the contract of the Redskins wideout will void this Friday. This stems from a clause that was inserted when Moss restructured his deal in 2009.

Moss, 31, is coming off his fourth 1,000-yard season. He led the Redskins with 93 receptions. However, it’s doubtful that any team will offer him true No. 1 receiver type money. Moss is quick and elusive, but he’s not a first-rate game-changer who commands regular safety help over the top.

He is coming back home to Miami and teaming up with Marshall.  That would be a serious dual.

I guess that's why he's constantly double teamed, because as our best offensive player and despite of his 4.3 speed and being one of the fastest players in the NFL he doesn't command regular saftey help over the top. LOL

I'd be willing to bet that the Bears sign him, and for the third year in a row bears fans will rant all offseason about how this signing guarantees them a superbowl.

Any takers?

It's time to turn the page. When Moss goes, hopefully he'll take Portis and McNabb with him.
