Brandon Banks got some good news on Friday, as he was released from the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington.

Banks, of course, was involved in a stabbing incident last Saturday and has been in the hospital ever since.

"Brandon Banks was released from Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington earlier today," Banks' agent James Gould said in a statement released by the Redskins Friday. "The tube was removed from his chest, and his lung is fully inflated. Brandon should be fully recovered and able to resume offseason training in three to four weeks. He will continue to follow up with Redskins team physician, Dr. Anthony Casolaro throughout this process.   Brandon would like to thank Dr. Casolaro and all of the nurses at Virginia Hospital Center for their care and all of his fans, teammates and the Redskins family for all of their support."

It's fantastic news that Banks will recover in that short a time -- something like a stabbing is absolutely terrifying to hear and doesn't always end this well.

Additionally, all the details surrounding the case indicate that Banks did nothing wrong.

There is still an investigation pending, though Gould has stated his client was involved in "no wrongdoing."
