If you’re still sick of Brett Favre stories, then consider this an Aaron Rodgers story. And if you’re sick of Aaron Rodgers stories then go be a fan of another sport.

Pro Football Talk visited with an unnamed Packers player who was very candid about the fractured relationship between the two quarterbacks. According to this Player X, Favre wants to patch things up with the understudy he seems to have spent three years ignoring.

“This is one of those situations where Brett can’t win,” the player said. “If he calls Aaron it looks like he’s grandstanding. If he doesn’t, he seems like he’s selfish and inconsiderate. I can tell you Brett wants to speak to Aaron. He really does and it’s sincere. I don’t know if they’ve spoken yet. I just know Brett wants to bury the hatchet.”

But will Rodgers help Favre dig the necessary hole?

“The big issue is will Aaron want to take the call,” the player said. “That I don’t know. The bitterness remains deep.”

Just can't let the Favre-Rodgers stuff go

This is the stuff we leave for the "National Enquierer" to worry about.
Dude, this is the Facts and Rumors post. This is the National Enquirer/TMZ sports equivalent. The guys that write these "stories" grew up playing Dungeons and Dragons, have a TMZ twitter feed, and have a incurable love/hate relationship against athletes known as nerd rage. This is all they know.

Just can't let the Favre-Rodgers stuff go

This doesn't have anything to do with favre wanting to stay in the news.  It also has nothing to do with Rodgers caring what Favre, or anyone else thinks of him.  It has more to do with anyone  not realizing the season is over, and there are a whole bunch of bigger issues to worry about.  This is the stuff we leave for the "National Enquierer" to worry about.  Real fans are wondering about he labor talks and if we might miss some of next season.  The Packer fans are celebrating a super bowl win, and couldn't care less if Aaron and Brett are playing nice together!

Just can't let the Favre-Rodgers stuff go

Why would Rodgers want to hear anything Favre has to say? Farve didn't give a rats arse when they played together, didn't give him the time of day and had been against the Packers for 3 years now sometimes bridges stay burned. Farve doesn't have anything Rodgers needs, including support. It's just Farve keeping his face in the news.
