B. McKinnie supposedly dropped $100,000 on a bar tab (Getty). Posted by Josh Katzowitz

If you’re having a good, but expensive night out with your friends, how much are you spending? Couple hundred bucks, maybe? Or, say, $500 for a really special night with your significant other?

I know a guy who once spent $1,000 at a strip club in one night – a move we all thought was rather excessive. Especially considering the dude didn’t make $4.6 million that year or was scheduled to earn $13.4 million during the next three years.

Well, whatever your spending threshold is, chances are it’s probably not as much as Vikings T Bryant McKinnie spent Thursday.

According to TMZ, Bryant dropped a cool $100,000 at a celebrity party Thursday night in Hollywood. Apparently, he ordered 15 rather large bottles of rather expensive champagne that had the entire club completely entranced, but still, it’s hard to imagine dropping 1/10 of $1 million in one night.

You know how, after you spend a night out and you wake up the next morning only to dread looking at the ATM receipt that’s stashed on top of your wallet? Can you imagine McKinnie the next day, looking at this bank statement and exclaiming, “Wait, I spent how much last night?”

a potential work stoppage because of the players union want to increase the profit sharing for the NFL players

Actually the Owners want to reduce the percentage of the profits that the players get.

I do agree with the point that Bryant McKinnie was very foolish with his money.

"According to "----Hey Katzowitz, why do 75% of your stories contain this phrase? Get a real "journalism" job instead of recycling stories from gossip rags you sackless woman.

Well, you know who is finding this humerous?  NFL Owners.  Here they are at the bargaining table during labor negotiations talking about a potential work stoppage because of the players union want to increase the profit sharing for the NFL players and now look.  One of the players from one of smallest markets in the league, who is in need of a publically financied stadium, blows 100K at a party!  Sure, it's his money and my company can't tell me what to do with my money, however if I was at the table asking for a raise the last thing I would be doing is showing up to work with tailored suits while pulling up in a limo.

Well, it's his money and he's free to spend it any way he wants.

Before he does it again though, he might want to have a talk with Antoine Walker, Mike Tyson, or any of the doezens of other pro athletes who squandered thei millions.

This is exactly why these fools end up filing for bankruptcy after they leave the game.  In a league where most of your contract isn't guaranteed I don't think a single player in the NFL/NHL/NBA/pick your league, should be dropping that kind of money.  The story talks about him being SCHEDULED TO EARN 13.4 over the next 3 years, it fails to mention if the Vikings dropped him after this season what he'd make.  I laugh at a post like this, part because it is humorous, but part because his foolish picture sits there to the right of it like a poster child for another story of a star who couldn't manage money.  He should hang out with Nicholas Cage sometime and talk about how you can make more money over your lifetime then some entire countries make and still have nothing to show for it.  Too funny
