Moss says he wants to go back to Pats

If WR Randy Moss had his druthers, he’d be playing, once again, in New England for coach Bill Belichick. That’s what he told KFAN-1130 in Minneapolis (via the Tennessean) this morning.

“I would love to come back to Minnesota. But I don’t know what they have in place,’’ Moss told the radio station. “But if you ask me where my heart is … I am a big fan of Bill Belichick, I really am, and not just on the field. I am a fan of his off the field because the little grouchy man you see on camera is not what you see off the camera.

“If you ask me where my heart and where I am happy is, I love playing with Tom Brady and I love being coached by Bill Belichick.”

That said, he also declared that he wasn’t in the best state of mind after the Vikings released him and he signed with the Titans.

“By me being dropped, I think I went into depression a little bit but I had to suck it up and had to be a man,’’ Moss said. “I have mouths to feed so I had to really take everything in stride and go to Tennessee and try and make things work.

“I wasn’t playing much and they wasn’t putting me on the field. But I had to put my feelings aside and keep playing football.”

For now, Moss wants to keep playing. Well, not RIGHT now. Right now, Moss has money to win (he is, after all, a free agent and the NFL isn’t exactly paying people right now).

“Right now,’’ he said, ”I’m getting ready to take my behind to the casino and sit down and play some slots.”

Moss says he wants to go back to Pats

Moss is looking for a job but it won't be in the NFL after his 'Three Strikes and You're Out' Tour of last season.

Last year Moss was signed and let go by three NFL teams in one season. What Moss doesn't realize what they were saying was at any price he wasn't worth the talent/ baggage ratio he brought with him to each team. Today there is probably a poster of Moss in every NFL GM's office with the caption "Just Say No" on it.

Moss is hoping he may be wanted in New England. His hope is based the cordial comments made by Belichick and Brady when he was shown the door. What Moss doesn't get is that they were simply being diplomatic. They recognized his talent but were glad to be rid of the potential disruption of his egocentric personality.

Randy is a hell of a player and I hope he gets his head on straight.  When he's focused and his head is in the game he's exciting to watch.  Hit those weights Randy and come back hungry cause most of the public and maybe your peers don't think you can play ball anymore.  Show them there's still some fight left in you.

Moss says he wants to go back to Pats

I admit it, I am a big Randy Moss fan... I am also a Raiders fan.... typically those two don't go together because of the outcome of when Randy was with Oakland. Regardless, Randy is the Randy he was when he was with the Vikings (first time) but after 13 years in the NFL hardly any player can maintain that level - OK, except Jerry Rice who didn't lose a step until his 19th season....

I hope Randy does go back to the Pats..... or lands somewhere with a team that will give him a chance to show if he still has it or not. If he can play great, if he can't then so be it. Retire and move on. He'll still be one of my favs.

I watched the Titans this year after Randy got there. I watched their receivers drop pass after pass after pass. But Randy rode the pine. I have respect for Jeff Fisher, but really Jeff? You played some real duds this year and didn't even look at Randy. Well, I guess you are both looking for jobs now, aren't you?

Moss says he wants to go back to Pats

iambigman1-
how long have you been watching football? Bledsoe got hurt in week2 not week9,Brady filled in and they went 11-3 the rest of the way.as for Belichick  not building those SB teams?  you forgot to mention the fact that Pete Caroll coached this team for 3 yrs after Parcells left, kinda hard to keep all those parcells guys around for that long after he left.and the fact that  Belichick was the assistant head coach for the pats in 1996 might have had a little to do with building those SB teams...   you=idiot!!!!!!

To IAMBIGMAN1: Your high school team won all-city 9 years in a row? You do know it should only take 4 years to graduate high school, right?
