Apparently, former Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett has had some stunning confessions in the lead-up to the NFL draft. As Pro Football Weekly reports, Mallett has admitted to using drugs to prospective employers.

Yet, he struck a different tone while talking to KRJ radio in Seattle earlier today, when Mallett described why he felt he got a raw deal from NFL.com’s Albert Breer in a previous story that discussed some teams’ concerns about his off-field activities.

Said Mallett (via sportsradiointerviews.com) : “Because Albert [Breer] doesn’t know me. Yeah, Albert doesn’t know me and Albert’s never been around me. Albert doesn’t know what kind of guy I am. That’s why I love these visits, being around the team, so they can see what kind of guy I am and what kind of person I am because all these reports about all this other stuff is mind boggling to me. I don’t know where he gets his information, but to me he got false information.”

Which naturally transitions us into today’s PFW report about Mallett's supposed drug use. One GM told PFW’s Nolan Nawrocki that it was the first time he ever heard a draftee admit that, and a league executive told him that he wouldn’t take Mallett at any point in the draft.

For the record, Breer’s story ran in early January, and the mention of Mallett’s off-field activities was 17 words long.

Report: Mallett admits drug use to NFL teams

Wow.  A league executive told ole Nolan boy that he wouldn't take Mallett at any point in the draft.  Among many questions I could pose, how about does that executive even need a qb in this draft?  How hard hitting is that report.  If Mallett can change the value of his 50 cent head and get it closer to his million dollar arm someone is going to get the steal of the draft.  He needs to learn when and how to talk to reporters.  They are leeches who make there living on bad news.

So honesty is a bad thing?  I'm sure he was blatantly asked at some point during his interviews.  Probably went something like this:

GM: "Have you ever used drugs in the past Ryan."

Mallet:  "To be honest, yes I have.  It was just a one-time thing.  But, I've since learned from that mistake and have stayed away from that kind of stuff ever

;     &nbs
p;  since."

Give me a break Mr. Executive.....I forgot that the only qualities you look for in potential candidates are their ability to lie, cheat and steal.

F'n Pats.....F'n cheaters.

"where did u get your info from? went to pfw and found nothing about this lie."
Follow the link in the middle of Katzowitz's "article," you dummy.  The piece posted on PFW last week quoted an unnamed NFL GM who said Mallett admitted to drug use in his interview.  No GM is going to allow a writer to attach his name to the article, so that's the best you're going to get.  Link to article --> .  Whether it's BS or not, the rumors about Mallett doing drugs has been with him since his days coming out of HS and heading off to Michigan.  Deal with it.
nfl network reports multiple sources with names and facts to prove this is wrong and a LIE.
Well, not exactly.  Even in articles praising Mallett's potential, columnists on the NFL.com website don't always quote sources by name.  Don't make it sound like they're the only site that gives names-- they don't.  Do your own homework and bring facts.
Here's one piece posted on the NFL.com site that refers to Mallett's "character issues" without crediting anyone
     --> .
Here's another from NFL.com giving him some praise where only some sources are credited
     -->

Check your own sources and facts, schmuck!

Report: Mallett admits drug use to NFL teams

His bowl game was as bad as it gets for a supposed top flight quarterback
Seriously? did you even watch the Sugar Bowl??? Ryan had almost 300 yards passing in that game and that was with his receivers dropping at least 10 balls! He should have had another 100 to 150 yards easily if they make those catches. Joe Adams dropped the first pass of the game that should have gone for an 80 yard TD.

I love how the author of this article totally ignores the part in Pro Football Weekly article about how Mallett's "willingness to be honest about his past and acknowledge issues is viewed as a positive."  How about you quit persecuting this kid and tell the whole story?
