In an almost unreal turn of events, Packers DL Johnny Jolly’s NFL prospects still are alive, even if they continue to remain on life support.
As the Associated Press reports, a judge in Houston has given Jolly probation for a guilty plea to a 2008 drug charge. And remember when he was arrested and charged with possession of Codeine last month? Well, that charge has been dropped, meaning he won’t have to worry about potentially spending 20 years in prison.
As part of the probation, Jolly also will receive drug treatment at a facility in Houston run by former NBA player and coach John Lucas.
Here’s hoping he gets himself straight before he tries to resume his NFL career (assuming that’s even possible).
