 I got the answer to why the owners want the money back and alot of fans dont get it. The owners pay for everything food hotel airline tickets and practice facilities and stadiums. the Players have zero investment in anything but a JOB. Look at the Vikings stadiums issue, Its gonna cost about a billion dollars to build one Minnesota will not build one without at least $400,000,000 from Zigy Wilf and about $600,000,000 from tax payers all this for a 30 years lease. What part of this bill will the players pay for so they can make millions of dollars to play a game and have a JOB. you got it they will pay ZERO. the cost of everything has been eating at the profits of the owners not the players, its time the players give something to equal the balance. The owner want their billion they gave up back to help offset this problem with the cost of stadiums alone going through the roof.  Another thing the owners have been paying for is the retired players health and everything, When you have a union they usually pay for the pentions so whay are the owners doing it. the Players need to wake up. Business owners are in business to make money not take all the loses that occur. If the players cant understand this then they should go back to school because the education they got payed for isnt working on their dumb brains. The owners shouldnt have to pay for everything and they should never have been paying for pensions with a union. Anyother thing is this union crap is pissing me off they are still a union and the dumbazz debraindead smith is a lawyer and like everything lawyers just make the people-(fans) pay for what they believe or I should say what they hope dummies like the fans will pay for.

All I heard was how the judge's ruling and briefs were appeal proof. This just shows what these so-called experts know. The association now has egg on it's face. They put all their eggs in the legal basket. If they spent the time actually negotiating instead of decertifying and posturing, maybe a fair deal could have gotten done.

Having been part of a negotiation myself, it's all about leadership and communication. Both sides lack it. Goodell and his minions are far from polished and DeMaurice Smith and his cadre of novices (who are far better @ reading defenses and offenses then legal matters) are simply inept. Decertification was their long strategy and if the stay remains in effect, they lose all leverage.

In the end, these sides will have to work out their differences and hammer out a deal. This court business just makes it more difficult to accomplish that and builds mistrust which is the antithesis of any good negotiation.

I don't see how any fan can root for either side. They're spoiled brats each claiming they're right and when they lose,  they take their ball and go home. The owners to the lockout, the players to the courts. Grow up, compromise and act like civilized adults for once in your life.
