CJ2K: Cops came cause he's 'young, black & rich'

Chris Johnson recently got a visit from the Orlando Police Department, according to his Twitter feed.

The cops swung by, per TMZ, to perform a "knock and talk" after receiving an "anonymous non-specific tip" about a bunch of swanky automobiles coming in and out of Johnson's apartment complex on Tuesday.

The only problem? Johnson was filming something with MTV at his house ("Cribs" I guess?) and he was a little offended that they decided to pay a visit.

"Y did the police just walk in my condo saying they think it's drug activity because it's alot of traffic but it was the MTV camera crew," Johnson tweeted on Tuesday, immediately following the cops' trip by his house.

He
then added (NSFW hashtag at link), "Hard being young, black and rich."

Apparently, the police told him they were investigating some sort of drug activity, which on its face sounds a bit stereotypical, to be honest.

I have no earthly idea how everything at Johnson's condo went down, but if the cops stopped by his house just because there were some African-Americans driving nice cars into a condominium complex, well, that's no good.

On the other hand, nothing actually seems to have happened after the cops showed up, so there's a good chance they were simply following up on a tip, which isn't something they can just ignore.

They came because he's a thug with golden teeth.  I've never met a thug with golden teeth that is also a good guy, not that I hang out with society's trash anyways.

Im so sick of hearing about how hard it is to be rich or black. One id be happier than hell to be rich. They say money dosent buy happiness, yeah but i will give it a try. Two this black thing has to stop. The world has changed, its time to go along to get along. Every time a black athlete or celebrity gets arrested or pulled over they instantly pull out the race card.  Not because they were doing 77 in a 35. Or because of any other crime that anyone, no matter what race, would get arrested for!! Its time to quit using a race as a crutch....

To add to my last: If not in public places, then they all too often insist on calling attention to themselves, almost as if they cannot help themselves. The target environment in many 'hoods is so rich that the long-suffering citizenry is perpetually frustrated because MOST of the obvious crack houses continue to operate more or less brazenly. That's because the courts and the cops and the prisons can't handle the load. Meanwhile, most white people only emulate the typical black trade in drugs when they're desperate enough to enter black neighborhoods in their cars to make their buys. Most of THEM prefer deep retail, buying casually, just about anywhere, no "crews" necessary. The lack of concentration makes for target-poor environments, hardly worth the time and energy of law enforcement. Nobody's complaining, anyway, except if they suspect a crank lab. It's outdoor markets and crack houses that pose threats and nuisances to the innocent. One guy carrying and selling light weight flies under EVERYBODY'S radar. No nuisance. No danger. No mole to whack.

heitert3, More likely the constant noise has had their backs up for some time now. Opportunity presents itself....It's not as if it's an unreasonable leap, anyway. Blacks constantly complain about the disparate rates of incarceration for drug crimes, but continue to do their business in the most public places imaginable. Stupid is as stupid does.

32Zone, Reading between the lines, so, you're now living in Miami-Dade County? At least the racist cops of whom you're speaking aren't WHITE racist cops, eh? Tell me, are the brown kind that your political leaders so love much of an improvement?
