Michael Strahan has joined the movement for marriage equality, and he’s expressed his views in the video embedded below.

This comes as the New York state legislature prepares to vote again on the legalization of same-sex marriage (it rejected the idea in 2009) and comes as other players from other sports endorse the idea that gay marriage should be legal.

Said Strahan in the video: “As a defensive end with the New York Giants, I always played the game tough but fair. I feel it’s unfair to stop committed couples from getting married.”

If gay marrage is allowed, then Incest must be allowed too.  I do not agree with either of them, However, I would prefer my own sister over another man.  Is it fair for the law to say that I can have sex with another man but not a female with my same blood?  Just food for thought!!!

Damn it's hard to understand Strahan and you posters with that d%^$ in your mouth.....

It would be nice to enjoy sports without all this PC crap. Just play, I don't come and see you to tell me your views on life.

A man can marry a woman.  A woman cannot marry a woman.   Gender discrimination is prohibited by the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
What you're saying sounds as ridiculous as what they said back in the 50's, that every person has the right to marry a person of the same skin color, and that what interracial couples are choosing to engage in isn not marriage blah blah blah.

Anyway, good for Strahan.  The other side is fighting a losing battle, and I doubt it'll be much longer until my gay friends can marry :P

Personally, I don't care what Michael Strahan thinks. It's his opinion, and he's entitled to it. However, I couldn't disagree more with it. Nobody is stopping anyone from getting married, actually. We all have the same rights in marriage. Every one of us is allowed to marry the non-related person of the opposite sex that we wish to marry. Sounds like everyone is being treated equal there. What homosexuals are choosing to engage in is not marriage and never will be.

The Bible does say that homosexuality is a sin, but it does not tell Christians to get involved in politics and make it illegal under man's law.
Um, yes it does. Leviticus WAS man's law according to the Jews back in the time of the Old Testament.

Last thing, quit bringing religion into it. If you want to talk about homosexuality being against Christianity, look at how Jesus lived his life. He hung out with a hooker. Jesus, the son of God, pretty much loved everybody, even the people who whooped him and nailed him to a cross. Take the hint.
Love the sinner, hate the sin. Jesus didn't tell those he hung out with "Keep doing what you have been doing and you'll be fine." He loved everyone, yes, but that does NOT mean He endorsed everyone's behavior.

Strahan doesn't live in NY, and he certainly didn't spend any time playing in NY during his career, so I'm confused as to the relevance.
