  • When quarterback Carson Palmer said he would retire if the Bengals didn't trade him, owner Mike Brown didn't budge. And Brown still hasn't. But NBC Sunday Night Football analyst Cris Collinsworth, who played for the Bengals in the 1980s, thinks Brown will eventually cave and try to move Palmer.

Hot Routes 6.17.11: Palmer still could be traded

I don’t think Carson would want a trade. I think he is doing the same thing Kobe of the Lakers did. He want players around him that would make the team a winner and eventually find it’s way into the playoffs and possibly a Super bowl berth.

Instead all he is surrounded with a clowns that want to appear on the laughing “Bobo” the clown show. Their actions take away from the team chemistry and are a distraction. No one in the league really take this team seriously. They might have a lot of talent but are not using it to the best interest of the team.

One clown changed his name, dial cell phones on the sideline. This might be funny to an extent, but look at the faces of his teammates standing on the sidelines. Some are laughing and others are throwing their hands in the air.

Then management went out and contracted a cancer in the club house. This clown has been in San Francisco, Philly, Dallas and no Cincy. I have no  idea why this bird brain was even on the team. Apparently the scouting staff did not do their job and speak with the other teams this fool had been on before. He is the type of player that have the best interest of the team as long as you throw the ball to me, even if the play called is not for me.  Not a team player and is a cancer in the locker room. Thus you have a divided locker room, another clown on the team.

If management was serious about putting together a team worth it’s salt and could compete in the NFL, I think Palmer would, like Kobe be pleased and would return to the team.

Jokes and gags are for the locker room, not the football field.

You don't understand, Mike Brown considers
himself the greatest football mind to be in the NFL since his father. By the
sheer fact that he IS Paul Brown's son he has inherited all the football
knowledge in the world thru his DNA. Anyone who cast doubt on that thought is
to be punished. By Carson's comments he has embarrassed Mike.
Just look at the team's record since he has assumed control. The win-loss
record isn't purity but the team's profitability (dollars put into vs dollars thaken out ) has been one of the
highest in ALL of professional sports. THAT is his measure of success.
He has friends on the county commission ( how else can you get such a sweetheart
deal on the Stadium lease ) which had even tried in the past to sue him to break
his contract so he can move to LA.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD I THINK HE IS THE FRONT RUNNER TO MOVE THERE NOW

Bottom line is he does thing NOT for the benefit of the team, he ONLY massages
his own EAGO.

Why not trade Palmer, and get some picks for next year draft.
