Osi-McCoy feud picks up rather quickly

This LeSean McCoy-Osi Umenyiora feud has gotten really nasty in a very short period of time.

We already told you about how the feud began (Umenyiora, in a sworn affidavit to be filed next month, explains how he feels he got screwed by Giants GM Jerry Reese, McCoy responded by calling him soft and overrated, and Umenyiora responded to THAT by calling McCoy a “she”).

But Umenyiora still apparently was upset by the slight made by the Eagles RB. In part, it’s because McCoy has had a fair bit of success vs. the Giants, but also because this isn’t the first time the two have had words with each other.

"I mean, he’s a girl, man. Who does stuff like that?" Umenyiora told the Newark Star Ledger. "If he has more of these things to say, he can say ‘em to my face. Don’t be no Twitter gangster, man.

“I hate him, he hates me, period.”

I can understand why McCoy would feel like he’s got the best of Umenyiora, because McCoy rushed for 175 yards on 24 carries in two games last year vs. New York, but I can’t figure out why McCoy would drag himself into this potential court case. Unless he truly IS a Twitter gangster.

“I feel things like that stay on the football field,” Umenyiora said. “Off the field, we respect each other because at the end of the day we’re all brothers. But he decided to take it so far that there’s no going back from it now."

Or you could take the attitude of Giants WR Steve Smith, who’s scheduled to be a free agent. You could just post the picture that you see below, and that should end any conversation with McCoy.

Osi-McCoy feud picks up rather quickly

Chumpoco (or is it Plumloco?--whatever), this is at least the fourth thread I've encountered you on, and your comments keep getting dumber and dumber.  By the way, do you still consider Cole Hamels a "mediocre pitcher", as you called him about two weeks ago?  Anyway:

I have never heard of Lesean McCoy
You've never heard of a running back who not only has been in the league two years now but has probably played four games each against both of the teams you mention?  I'm not saying he tore it up against them (I haven't checked the stats), but how can you not know who he is?

Washington and Dallas will go 1-2 (and not necessarily in that order)
Dumber and dumber.  I have no comment about Dallas, but anyone who boasts that Washington will obviously finish first or second must be "plumb loco".  By the way, do they have a quarterback yet?

I forgot to mention, Hen, since you're a Steelers fan, that I hope they win the AFC again this season (and win the Super Bowl if they don't play the Eagles).  Tough pro football in the Keystone State!

Hen1991, I actually agree with almost everything you wrote, with the possible exception of your predictions as to how the Giants will do against the Eagles this year; on that, I make no prrediction (I never do).

I have never heard of Lesean McCoy, but I have heard Osi Umenyiora. One person said that McCoy is a trained fighter while Umenyiora is a trained football player? So! Unless they are going to be fighting on a UFC card then I could care less what they or their teams do next season. Have fun guys because your teams will battling it out in the cellar. Washington and Dallas will go 1-2 (and not necessarily in that order) while Philly and NY are fighting to stay out of 4th place.

One guy McCoy is a trained fighter...judo, jiu jitsu training...another Guy Osi...just knows how to tackle guy's?  Osi go take some fighting lessons before you start using fighting words...one arm bar one submission and Osi will be crying for his mommy...PS look what McCoy has done to Osi on the field...If Osi had it in him he would have stipped him on the field.

McCoy may have had the better of the Gmen last year, but this was a poor choice on his part.  I would wager that he won't have the same success this year.  Osi and the D will be ready to pulverize McCoy this year.  Not that you should need additional motivation for a divisional opponent, but why poke the caged lion with a stick.  I will be looking forward to these two games this year.  On the other side of the story....Osi needs to grow a pair and not worry about it.  The fact that he responds to it is sad.  Just keep your mouth shut and when you tackle him the first time make sure you drive him into the turf and then ask him how soft he is.  Let your play do your talking.  This is yet another example of why twitter accounts should be banned for pro athletes.  Every contract ought to have a clause banning them. There's no need for it and all it does is cause drama.  Just play football. Don't give me the freedom of speech BS either.  My boy, Mendenhall, would be the first account I'd cancel.

Osi "blah blah blah"

McCoy "blibiblab ablah blah"

Osi "blah blah wah?"

No one cares.

Nice picture though.  McCoy was still in college for another year after that.

Again, no one cares.
