Last night, Mrs. Brinson heard the "Are you ready for some football?" line on the television and emphatically said "NO."

My response? "Too bad. It's here."

2011 NFL Free Agency Experience

Unless you live in Cincy you won't understand why the Carson deal was treated different than the Chad deal. Chad has always been a thorn in the side of any coach on the Benagls staff, QB, fan any one that's willing to listen to him speak for 5 mins. Carson on the other hand, for the most part has been quiet and willing to show up on time and do what he's told. As for injury's, yes Chad has stayed healthy for the most part and Carson has not, with that said either way BOTH players are in the wrong about asking for trades after signing deals. Now if anybody thinks Carson has not got his fair share of raw treatment in the press than you've never been to a Bengals game in the past year. Last year when he passed for his 20,000 passing yard the stadium booed the guy. Fans in this city have been asking for him to leave since last year/some even before that. When people leave trash on your yard and make comments to your wife in public...hmmmm wonder why he wanted out after last year. So for those who want to play the "race card," please stop the ignorance and look deeper than your small minds will allow....

The race card was played in the Carson Palmer situation because Chad Johnson did EXACT same thing a couple years ago and got lambasted for doing so.  He was called selfish and spoiled.  The majority made him out to be a cry baby for wanting to get traded.  If anything Chad Johnson has givin his all to the Bengals organization and has been relatively injury free and productive compared to Carson Palmer.

I agree. He signed a contract and should stick to it. I like Carson and dont really blaim him for wanting to get out of getting beatin down every year. So leaving is best for him, and kudos to the Owner for not giving in to trade demands.

Not dealing Palmer is the right thing to do....If palmer wants to retire, so be it.
