The Eagles already have one potential star who could hold out from training camp on their hands in DeSean Jackson and according to a report on Wednesday, they might have another: backup quarterback Kevin Kolb.

Though Kolb might not be a "star" per se, he is heavily involved in all the trade talk circulating around the NFL, particularly with the rumor that he's headed to the Cardinals in exchange for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and some draft-pick compensation.

But Philly and Arizona haven't been able to reach a deal as of yet, and so Kolb remains an Eagle for now. However, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Kolb won't be showing up to Philadelphia's camp at Lehigh University when it begins on Thursday.

McLane also adds that "other teams are interested" in Kolb, but correctly points out that there "aren't many viable candidates remaining." That's because there aren't -- as I've noted before, the Cardinals seem to be playing a dangerous game of chicken with the Eagles, hoping that market fluctuations would allow them to get the 26-year-old at a discount.

But with most of the other potential quarterbacks that Arizona could chase ending up with other teams, it's going to be tough for the Cards to convince the Eagles they actually do have other options.

There's is an argument that Kolb's decision to hold out would actually help Arizona, because Philadelphia might be more inclined to get a potential headache off their hands.

Although given the Eagles track record with pawning off quarterbacks at the right time, don't expect them to panic too much.

Report: Kolb won't report to Eagles training camp

You are a complete clown if you think that Kolb would go to training camp, why would he? He could be traded tomorrow! Why waste time going through the motions when everyone that sees you thinks that you are gone already, there is no real value at all for him to attend and have to be asked a million question about a deal that hasnt happened yet.
There is nothing wrong with Kolb

If he's traded then he obviously doesn't go to the Eagles camp, he'll go wherever he's traded.  But YOU are the clown if you think skipping camp if he's not traded yet is the way to do business.  The Eagles paid him 10 million dollars in a signing bonus to be a backup where his primary job was to hold a clipboard.  He accepted the check and cashed it.  The second he did that it became his job to do as he's told.

Report: Kolb won't report to Eagles training camp

This is what's wrong with the NFL, players like Kolb is what's wrong with the NFL.  When the Eagles signed him to a 2 year extension for about 13 million dollars with 100 PERCENT GUARANTEED AND 10 MILLION DOLLARS IN UP FRONT CASH to be A BACKUP and knowing full well he never had a chance to start he showed up to camp.... no problem.  But now that 80 percent of that deal is paid and less then 3 million dollars remains he's not gonna show up?   What a f****** joker.
