Reggie Bush was considered all but certain to be a salary cap casualty for the New Orleans Saints thanks to his $11.8 million salary for 2011 ... until they managed to trade him to the Miami Dolphins on Thursday morning.

Jay Glazer of Fox Sports inititally reported the news (very) early on Thursday morning and the Miami Herald's Jeff Darlington confirmed the news, reporting that 'Fins GM Jeff Ireland wanted to "sleep on it."

Well, it looks like Ireland's awake now, and Bush is Miami-bound, as reports now indicate that Bush signed off on a two-year deal with the Dolphins.

Bush could be motivated to prove that he can indeed succeed as the featured back on a roster, which a move to Miami would likely let him do -- he and Daniel Thomas would theoretically provide a one-two punch in South Beach.

Plus he now get a fresh start -- things got ugly after the Saints decided to draft another former Heisman winner in Mark Ingram and Bush awkwardly tweeted "it's been fun" afterwards.

The running back market now changes dramatically, as the Dolphins were expected to compete for Ahmad Bradshaw and Ronnie Brown. Their decision to trade for Bush should allow inflation on running backs to sink a bit.

I think his his fantasy stock rises. He came into the league with inflated value. Disappointed owners don't trust him, but if he becomes the primary back in a place like MIA, he could make owners happy.

I think he'll go too early in fantasy drafts, which will leave one leftover elite player for me to choose.

The NFL Network rates their "best players" on the Kardasian Scale.  Reggie is now #32 on Kim K's list.

Dolphins trade for Reggie Bush, signs 2-year deal

I think it says a lot that the Saints kept Lance Moore and dumped Reggie Bush.  But since he's a criminal and a thug plus all talk and no action, Miami is probalbly the right city for him.  Hopefully the 'Fins didn't give up much more than lunch at Joe's....

You should ask SipDis.  He seems to think he knows.

From what I've seen so far there's rumored to be a Safety frim Miami in the deal, J Amaya, but I have not seen any solid information.  All rumors to this point.  But, then again, I'm SipDis.  I'm sure he knows that he thinks that he knows what the trade was.

Dolphins trade for Reggie Bush, signs 2-year deal

I've noticed with every trade and free agent signing "fans" coming out of the woodwork to trash the guy who just left.  It's not unique to Reggie Bush.

That said, you didn't make any sense talking about Ricky Williams when he was in New Orleans.  He averaged more than 1000 yards rushing and 300 receiving per season there - despite missing 1/3 of his games due to injury.  But most importantly, He played in New Orleans TEN years ago.  The entire offensive philosophy was different.

If you actually think Reggie Bush will lead the league in rushing, you've never seen him play. I like his game, and he's talented, but he's not the guy you're thinking of.  Even at USC he wasn't that guy.

Whatever SipDis.

You are basing your statement on what?  The fact that all the so called "experts" said he was to be cut.  The Saints never said they were going to cut him.  That would have been dumb for any team trying to trade a player.  If you are right, and he was to be cut, then why did the Dolphins trade for him?  Why not just let him get cut and then pick him up?  Why bother giving up picks at all?  Your statement makes no sense what-so-ever.

Keep posting responses though, I'm enjoying them.  I don't need to repeat my comment from my first post, you're doing it with your replies.  Thanks!
