Report: Tiki Barber works out for Dolphins

In case you were wondering if you would ever again hear about Tiki Barber’s attempted comeback, wonder no more. Foxsports.com’s Jay Glazer is reporting that Barber had a tryout with the Dolphins on Tuesday.

Tiki Time
Glazer writes that Barber looked good working out, but it remains to be seen whether he’ll catch on with Miami because the Dolphins want to test out their current RBs.

The Dolphins backfield certainly will look new this season after drafting Daniel Thomas in the second round and then dropping Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. Then, they acquired Reggie Bush to complement Thomas.

It’s possible Barber could find a place on the squad, but Lex Hilliard and Kory Sheets also are on the Dolphins depth chart, and those two are probably who Miami personnel want to see before they think about making a move on Barber.

I wouldn't give him a shot.  Maybe of tequila but not at a roster spot.  He fumbles too much and I wouldn't think that his hands have gotten stronger from sitting down pushing a pin for a year or two.  There would be an unsigned rookie out there somewhere I would give a chance at making the team than I would Tiki.

Report: Tiki Barber works out for Dolphins

Just like any other man out there I have made mistakes in my life. Most of the things I have done have been forgiven, and I have had some redemption. The whole thing is I have a lot of integrity...I always have.   Never doubt a man looking for redemption. However, if he hasnt gained any integrity through this whole situation he will quit just like he did on his 8 month pregnant wife.

Desperation is sad.

Tiki and his incredible self-loving super-fueled ego convinced himself he didn't need football anymore. So, he quit the G-Men to pursue his TV calling. Whoops. He forgot that his mega-douchey personality would spill onto the set and crush any hopes of being the next Tom Jackson. Exposed. Now that he's gone on the air waves and proved to everyone how much of a jack wagon he is, all of his skeletons are jumping out of the closet. TV career over. Maybe he can still play football at the professional level. Orrrrr... maybe not. How about not. Tiki, you were the beneficiary of good blocking and solid receivers. Sure, you made some plays, but you kinda f-d up a lot as well. You weren't nearly as good as you thought you were (errr... think you are).
Before I knew how much of a pole smoker you are, I would have given you the benefit of the doubt. I might have said something like, "can't blame the guy for trying!", or "maybe he's got a little left in the tank". But again, that was BEFORE he exposed himself as the dill weed he is. And now, I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way.
Sorry dude, your career is over. Good luck on the public golf course. Just go away.
