Aaron Maybin was waived by the Buffalo Bills on Monday afternoon, the team announced. Maybin was taken with the 11th overall pick in the 2009 draft. And if there was ever any debate about him being a tremendous bust, well, that debate is over right now, regardless of what happens the rest of his career.

Also Google, would like to weigh in, before we continue with said debate:

And, as we know, Google doesn't lie.

Neither do the stats -- in two years with Buffalo, the Penn State product has recorded exactly zero sacks, one forced fumble and logged 15 tackles in 27 games.

Bills Preseason

That Maybin was let go now is actually a good thing, though. Buffalo is acknowledging a clear-cut indication to move forward with the franchise and not dwell on past (although not-too-distant) mistakes.

Maybin's been completely embarrassing as a football player thus far in his career, but that doesn't mean he won't latch on somewhere.

As we've seen with Vernon Gholston -- and many others before him -- there's ample availability for second chances in the NFL.

Just for fun, here's the next ten players that were taken after the Bills nabbed Maybin: Knowshon Moreno, Brian Orakpo, Malcolm Jenkins, Brian Cushing, Larry English, Josh Freeman, Robert Ayers, Jeremy Maclin, Brandon Pettigrew and Alex Mack.

There have been some good picks in the past but those guys are never gonna stay with a losing team. The point is to get to the superbowl.  As much as I love the bills, I can only hope to see another run to the super bowl before my time is up and at 33 It is still a long shot.

Theres another super dud on that list of draftees...

Knowshon Moreno is a flat out dud. He doesn't run hard. He isn't fast. He doesn't block and he is below average in the flats. Moreno isn't worthy of his draft status either, so Buffalo isn't the only team in that group that struck out.

I have taken to calling him NoShow Moreno. I hope it catches on.

He supposedly dropped some weight in order to gain a step. He has never been fast, so he better have dropped below 200 or it wont make a difference.

McD wanted to prove to everyone that 40 times and short shuttles dont matter as much as the player...blah blah blah. Problem is, in the NFL, you can have all the  heart in the world and it wont make a difference when most peoples D-Lineman are faster than you are.

I'm sure he's a nice guy and he probably tries his hardest, but his hardest is not good enough. Denver wanted to run the ball when McD was there, but it's hard to run when your back refuses to make a move. Seriously, if the hole isn't wide open, then No Show will miss it. He never makes anything happen.

This is a typical Patriot fan comment. Lets take anyone and make them great. The Bills and Maybin suck, but just because he puts a PATS jersey on doesnt mean he will suddenly be good. There are as many players that have busted out with the PATS then have be helpful. This guy blows and is too small to put his hand down and too slow to play LB. I hope Haynsworth doesnt pan out so finally people realize that although the PATS do a great job they still miss alot on picks and players.<br />

The Bills are definitely not a team to dwell on past mistakes. They also don't learn from them and continue to draft like morons every year. Add Maybin to Losman, that LSU WR whose name I already forgot, and all the other top picks that were complete garbage in the NFL.

Dollare to donuts says that the Cleveland Browns sign this guy!  Not saying that they should be proud of that but they do need experienced linebacker help.  Someone is gonna take the chance that this guy just wasn't handled right.  Not saying it's right but it will happen.  And my Browns are a very likely team to pull that stunt.  God forbid!
