NFL fans and the media have a weird obsession with the Wonderlic, the intelligence test given to prospective professional football players. Most folks care way too much about the test, when there's no guarantee that Wonderlic success will relate to NFL success.

But whenever someone puts a ridiculously low (or high) score out there, it usually warrants some discussion. Like Terrelle Pryor's reported score of seven.

Yes, seven.

That's according to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, who set Twitter on fire when he reported the score and pointed to it as the reason "why Terrelle Pryor made so many on-, off-field bad decisions at Ohio State."

Such an assumption seems a bit presumptuous, especially since the Wonderlic isn't scientifically indicative of how much merchandise someone will give away for free tattoos. (The jury's still out on that one.)

But if Pryor indeed scored a seven, it's a bit embarrassing. Vince Young once posted a six on his Wonderlic (reportedly) and he did, um, just fine.

Additionally, it's believed that an average score for a quarterback on the Wonderlic is about a 24, and teams would prefer a 21. But plenty of successful quarterbacks -- ahem, Dan Marino -- have posted lower scores than that.

Plus, as we all know, Pryor is a wide receiver.

And besides, as long as he's not scoring the exact number that JaMarcus Russell scored, the Raiders are probably thrilled.

Report: Terrelle Pryor scored a 7 on Wonderlic

Let`s stop all being so negative. Here`s some things to be proud of Luckeye nation & Raider nation:
Terrell Pryor showed up in person for the test.
He scored 7 which he won`t be doing on an NFL field anytime soon.
He didn`t cheat, or end up with another new car that we`ve heard.
He`s showing a stronger mental game than Jamarcus Russell.
Another solid move Al RIP Raiders.

7 on the Wunderlic?  Sounds about average for an Oakland Raider.  They like their players young and dumb!

Anything below a 10 on the Wonderlic is considered illiterate.  My guess is Pryor never even attended a class at OSU.

How did this guy make it through three years of college?  Really makes OSU look even worse.  If Pryor is as dumb as Vince Young, and he had a much worse college career than Young, why would anyone expect him to be worth a damn in the NFL?

Raidernation, where did you get this info? Did you actually talk to Kevin Colbert? Are you friends? Can you get me an autographed jersey from Hines Ward?
Don't they have people to administer these tests? The Steeler GM administers the wonderlic himself? Does he administer all the wonderlic tests or did he make a special exception for Mr. Pryor? Sorry, but at this point I'm more likely to believe Bob McGinn than you.
Hey, moron, Pryor tweeted that he got a 22 after reports said he got a 21.

Well according to Steelers GM Kevin Colbert who actually administered the test Pryor's score was much higher then the reported 7.  The actual test score.....22.

Alot of these players don't learn book smarts because they think their athleticism will get them though life. Youths can be lazy. Also if you come from the hood being book smat is not cool.
