McDanielsPosted by Josh Katzowitz

At this point, Josh McDaniels will be happy to be done completely with the state of Colorado.

He was fired as head coach of the Broncos (as you know, he was hired as the Rams offensive coordinator), his first-round selection of Tim Tebow has made him look foolish (Tebow is now a third-stringer!), and now, he’s got real estate problems as well.

According to TMZ, McDaniels lost more than $500,000 on his Denver-area home when he recently sold it.

He bought the 5,685 square foot Greenwood Village for $2.5 million in 2009, and he sold it for $1.95 million. Which is brutal, but it is a buyer’s market, so he shouldn’t have been too surprised to take a hit.

But hopefully he get some consolation from the fact he’s coaching Sam Bradford. You know, a real first-round draft pick.

I like the part where Tim Tebow was compared to Arron Rodgers.   He will never, ever guide an NFL team to a winning record, let alone the playoffs or Super Bowl.  He cannot read the defense, his delivery is too slow and he is not accurate enough.  There were serious talks of him being relased this training camp.  Its too bad, he seems like the kind of guy you'd love to have as the face of your franchise but he just isn't good.  When Denver inevitably tanks he will take over for what ever other bad QB happens to be the started and guide Denver and thir excited fan base to results far below what could even be called mediocre.

McDaniels does seem like an immature jerk. Lets see, he runs a first string QB out of town, runs a top-tier WR out of town and drafts a guy in the first round that most pundits thought was a 3rd rounder at best. Nice job, Denver will need a couple years to recover from his "expertise".

hey katzoqitz are you kidding me? first of all TT is 2nd string, 2nd of all he completely out played orton or quinn in the pre season.  whats wrong with you people piling on TT he probably isnt as good as bradford (he looks really good) but I can name 50 1st round qb's that were worse than TT, it was a good pick then and its a good pick now.  keep in mind as you just repeat and repeat what the great merril hoge has had to say that hoge is also the "analyst" (if you can call him that) that said Aaron Rodgers would be the bust of qb's when he was drafted in the 1st round by Gb. let me see, hey isnt that the Aaron Rodgers that was just the MVP of the SB? yeah it was, so get your head out of hoge's a $$.
Use your eyes and watch the games when TT plays, look at the stats and realize he has absolutely murdered quin and out played orton.  he wont crumple to the ground at the first sign of pressure like orton and he wont throw it in the flat for a 5 yard gain on 3rd and 15 just so his stats stay good (like orton) oh yeah and TT will actually score in the redzone and convert more than 1 out of 10 3rd down conversions.

for the life of me, I cant figure out what the detractors of TT are watching.

Guess this proves it's not just the players who make bad financial decisions when a lot of money is thrown at them.  Just because you make a lot of money doesn't mena you go out and buy expensive homes, expensive cars, expensive clothes, etc.
This also shows how sometimes you catch lightening in a bottle. Bowlin hired Shanahan and, for a few years, Elway, Davis and company provided them with a winner. A decade later, the Broncos were still waffling.  So they let Shanahan go and hire this guy.  What does he do?  Tebow in the first round?  Nothing more to say.  Any casual college fan could tell you Tebow was a poor fit for the NFL.  Put him on Florida's team and he wins a championship. Put him on an average team, he would have been a below average QB.
