Tuck is confident he'll be back by Week 2

J. Tuck plans to be back by Week 2 (US Presswire).Posted by Josh Katzowitz

If the Giants aren’t feeling the effects of a Rex Grossman hangover the past two days, they probably should be. On a defense that’s been ravaged by injuries during the preseason -- here’s the list: Osi Umenyiora, Terrell Thomas, Prince Amukamara, Marvin Austin and Clint Sintim -- Grossman had little trouble picking apart New York and led his team to the win against New York.

But it sounds like the Giants might be getting some reinforcements this weekend in the form of Justin Tuck, who sat out Week 1 with a neck injury.

“Honestly, talking to you right now, I don’t see how I won’t play Monday,” Tuck told the Newark Star Ledger. “But that’s me. Obviously we have to go through the process of doctors, coaches, general manager and going through what’s most important for me and for this football team.”

So, even though he doesn’t see how he won’t play, he’s also smart enough to know that he doesn’t necessarily have a say in whether he can.

Tuck told the paper that his neck, where he suffered a stinger during the third preseason game, is feeling better. Apparently, he’s a quick healer since it was just a couple days ago when he said the injury was stagnant and his neck didn’t seem to be improving much at all.

“The pain level has kind of dropped tremendously, actually," Tuck said. "But there are times when it’s very annoying. A lot of the times it’s tremendously hard to get comfortable, feeling tightness in there. Your mind can play with that, too … You just want to take your time with it.”

Tuck is confident he'll be back by Week 2

The Eagirls do not scare anyone in this league. Let's be for real. Vick makes mistakes when he is put under pressure. Desean Jackhole is far more concerned about himself than anyone on the team. Maklin cant run a route to save his life.  Your D-line and linebackers are average at best and WILL get perforated by any Joe-lunchbox RB with a chip on his shoulder. And that leaves your secondary, I must say nice but again when the bigger RBs come pounding through your waste of money front line and the DBs are all that is left to defnd they will end up on IR.
The Eagirls are nothing but a Fantasy Footballer's wet dream that will never come true. When you little Eagirls fans go to bed in your little Eagirls cheerleader costumes and pom-poms, you will unfortunately wake up with dry sheets. Reality check.

I have a cheer for you little Eagirls fans...

Tuck is confident he'll be back by Week 2

Does Coughlin send someone in to the bedrooms of the players at night at training camp and have them beat on people? How is it every year the Giants come out of training camp looking worse than patients in a MASH unit? Do they do an extra round of testing to find fragile guys? Or do they just run their camp however they want and not worry about the players' health? I'm glad the D is potentially getting Tuck back this week, but we need a whole lot more help than him.  The Deadskins may be improved, but they're not THAT much better this year. 0-1 with a division loss to a team that you should beat doesn't bode well for Big Blue.
