Sanchez did not suffer a concussion Sunday

After the Jets squeaked by the Cowboys on Sunday night, it appeared that Mark Sanchez might be suffering from a concussion. At least that’s what it looked like to the people standing around him in the minutes following the game’s end.

As ESPN New York’s Rich Cimini writes, Sanchez, while speaking to reporters after the game, appeared groggy, and the few times a TV camera light was shined in his face, Sanchez turned away in mid-sentence.

He was asked if he had a concussion but said he was fine. But team doctors also were concerned enough to give him a baseline concussion test, and after examining him, they said he was good to go. That’s the scoop Sanchez gave to ESPN 1050 today.

“They checked my baseline tests and compared it to my balance test,” Sanchez said. “I feel good.”

The radio hosts asked him if he was concerned he had suffered a head injury, and Sanchez said, “No, I don’t think so. I just think they were being really cautious.”

Which obviously is what the team doctors should be doing. And now that Sanchez has been cleared, he can go back to practicing and playing with the Jets and hopping into a whirlpool for a quick photo shoot with GQ without having to worry about any potential lingering head injuries.

I acquired a reaction backside from a acquaintances for Libsyn. This can be the completely different transformed treatment for Transforming the Charge card points.

I'm not a Jets fan, but I won't bash Mark Sanchez.  I think he's a good young quarterback.  I think the whole GQ thing was awkward, but as a quarterback I think he's got some promise.

This kid is coming into his own! I am looking for him to turn the corner this season and take the next step. I am sure before he retires he will have a Superbowl ring if not two. He just has that kinda of work ethic and will to win. Plus he is having fun and is a model NFL player. If I was starting a team today and you gave me the choice of Mark Sanchez or Chris Johnson to build my team around. I would take Sanchez without a doubt!

Just rewatched the game and it looked like it may have happened coming off the goal line in the 4th qtr.  He Ratliff had a clean shot on him after he beat Mangold...

You sound alot more cocky than Jet fans if you ask me, And we dont say that our QB is the best either. And week 4 we will show up for that game you can bet on it. BTW last year week 1 the offensive coordinator for the Jets played the whole game close to the vest.... not this time..... The Ravens are a very good team, and so are the Jets so lets just see what happens.
