Vikings punter Chris Kluwe is unimpressed with your pretend ailments. (AP/US PRESSWIRE)

There's so much more to Chris Kluwe than professional football punter. In addition to his day job with the Vikings, he's also in a band, and avid gamer (we're going out on a limb: based on his Twitter handle he's really into World of Warcraft … and check), brutally honest, a great writer and, in general, hilarious.

Last October, after the league started cracking down on illegal hits and fining just about anything that moved (they even sent around a handy "Here's how you tackle properly!" video that was universally mocked), Seahawks punter Jon Ryan got absolutely obliterated by Bears wideout Earl Bennett. To which the league said: "Bravo! That's what we're talking about. Perfectly legal!"

This prompted Kluwe to consult the Vikings' locker room whiteboard (click the image to enlarge):

Well, ten months later Kluwe and the whiteboard are back, this time warning of the dangers of fake injuries. Here's a tweet from Thursday:

Deon Grant has no idea what you're talking about, Kluwe.

Your kidding I hope. If Brady gets bumped into in the parking lot there is a fine or at least a penelty. How come nobody addresses all the faking he does while looking for flags. We can also add all the now protected recievers who look for an official the first time they get touched. I wish someone other than Kluwe had said it but the point is valid.

Not kidding at all. Kluwe's point is totally invalid because it's totally false. Look on YouTube on the Ryan video and you'll find a video from 2007 of Sav Rocca getting blasted -- and drawing a flag because the defender went helmet-to-helmet. Earl Bennett leads with his shoulder, not his helmet, and Ryan isn't defenseless, he's trying to make a tackle. That's a perfectly clean hit and Kluwe is 100% wrong.
High brow humor or not, this guy needs to know his role and shut his mouth.
What is "his role", anyway? Sit quietly by while you and your ilk pass around snide comments?

Sorry you haven't the capacity to appreciate "high brow humor" – above the waist seems out of your range.

Good to see even a punter can make fun of himself while making a point (even though Goodell will probably fine him for his actions)
I wouldn't be shocked. Goodell could probably sue for libel and win.
