UPDATED (6:22 p.m. ET): According to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora, the Titans believe Kenny Britt will have to have season-ending knee surgery. They won't know for sure until Monday, though.

----------

We’ve lauded Kenny Britt this year, because he’s been so outstanding with his play on the field. Even after an offseason in which he was arrested multiple times but still avoided major punishment or an NFL suspension, Britt entered today’s game vs. the Broncos with 14 catches and 271 yards (third-best in the league).

But in the second quarter, he went down with a right knee injury after twisting his body to gain more yardage. He had to be carted off the field, and it sounds like it could be serious.

Rapid Reporter Matt Rybaltowski writes that Britt will have tests either Sunday night or on Monday to determine the extent of the injury. For now, coach Mike Munchak isn’t sure what to think, though it’s clear the Titans are worried about a serious season-ending injury.

“When you’re out on the field, you never know,” Munchak said. “I’ve hurt my knee before and sometimes it looks worse than it is.”

Asked about his status after the game, Britt said simply, “My status is I’m limping.”

Between Charles,Britt, & Vick an awful lot of fantasy teams are finished after only 3 weeks.Oh, Foster has been a bust, considering how highly he was rated. At this rate we are losing at least 1 top player every week.I think I could have drafted substitutes & been better off.Especially considering I have Britt AND Charles on 1 team & now I gotta keep 'em all year long. That's one reason why I'm in 18 leagues.I gotta win at least one of them.........maybe.

Too bad about Britt, who I consider one of the top 5 WR in the NFL,or at least it was.Vick got a ruff break too.

Too bad. This guy was really coming into his own, hopefully it's just an MCL sprain or something. Still, you can't just throw the ball on the ground whenever you get hurt. That was a little ridiculous.

Bad Injury for the Titans, Britt was on his way to becoming a great receiver this year...Now Chris Johnson needs to step up and do something for that team.  All that money he got paid and he cant run for over 50 yards...Come on "CJ2K No Play"

As far as criminal acts go, I take what Britt did with a grain of salt.  He didn't kill, rape, or shoot anyone.  I was more pissed about guys like Pacman Jones and some of the other idiots.

I can understand why some of you don't like him though.

What I find funny is some loser on the internet talking about how weak Kenny is for dropping the ball.  Like you would have had no problem tearing your knee up??  if you're so toough why aren't you playing in the NFL??

Easy to soound tough from behind a keyboard......

He shouldn't have been suspended. He did a lot wrong in the offseason, but the way I see it, is they had a lockout. He wasn't in the NFL at that time, so how can you suspend someone when they don't work for you? If he did that once the lockout was over, then hell yeah he should've been suspended, but he didn't. And btw he's gonna be a star if he can stay healthy
