Report: Jerome Harrison has brain tumor

The Jerome Harrison-Ronnie Brown trade that was voided Wednesday between the Lions and the Eagles was thwarted by a brain tumor found in Harrison during a routine physical.

That’s the report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who writes, “Without trade, Jerome Harrison doesn't get physical. Without physical, doctors don't find brain tumor. Trade might have saved his life.”

Now, the disappointment some might have felt when the trade fell through Wednesday has to be tempered by the fortuitous discovery made by the Eagles doctors.

Raven 44. have you ever heard of DCA? Dont know if they caught your wifes tumor in time but if not google it. Its helped alot of people when they were told there was no hope. We are giving it to my father in law now and we are praying it works. Its worth a shot when you have nothing to lose. I hope your wife pulls through.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.  Thank God they found it early.  If it got bigger and took a blow to the head it could have been devastating.  Now it has been caught early and will be treated, Im sure the medical resources in the NFL are good and I hope the outcome is a great one.  And for all you idiots that think its a laughing matter are clueless!!!!  Its all fun and games until it happens to you or your family.  People realy should be more considerate and think before they say anything.  1 out of 3 people get cancer so in a lifetime it is bound to affect you or a loved one.  Have a lil more respect

Report: Jerome Harrison has brain tumor

Eleven years ago I had surgery for the removal of a baseline brain tumor.  The doctor's announcement left me so stunned I dodm't know rather to laugh, cry or jump out of a building.  The news was defining.  Your whole life is spinning.  Of course, everything went well and I'm living proof of today's modern medical technology.  But still, you think only of the worst senarios when it comes to your nogg'n!  Everyone knows it's the organ that keeps everyhing going.   You don't want someone messing with it But what's a person to do when you hear that doctor's dread anouncement;  "I'm afraid I have some serious news for you and your family.  I have found a mass in your brain that needs to be removed."  I pray for Jerome!  I had one of the finest neuro-surgeon in the country.  I'm sure he'll have one also.  Maybe, just maybe his tumor is not that serious.  I sure hope so!  God's speed, Jerome!!!

Good comments.  But I cannot let idiots go by with their immature, insensitive comments.  I'm not going to argue, I'm merely going to point out the childish approach to anything serious in life.  they think that if it's about football, it's all just a game, including the human beings like Jerome.  It angers me that people cannot see that but for the grace of God or some other force, it's not THEM who is facing the scary situation that Jerome is.

Thanks -- thoughtful voice in the crowd.

There's no humor in having a brain tumor.  You're comments are simply way out of line.  My wife of 25 years just had one diagnosed earlier this year and trust me, if you have anyone in your life facing a life-threatening situation, you wouldn't be making stupid comments about "Kindergarten Cop" when a guy is fighting for his life....  GROW UP.

THIS GUY IS STILL A GOOD RUNNER....DON'T KNOW WHY THE LIONS DIDN'T USE HIM MORE.  TURNS OUT THAT WAS PROBABLY A GOOD THING.  IT COULD HAPPEN TO ANY OF US.  PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU JEROME.
