VickPosted by Josh Katzowitz

On Thursday, CBSSports.com’s Will Brinson brought us the news that Michael Vick could barely walk because of his broken ribs and that Vince Young likely would start in his place when the Eagles face the Giants.

Coach Andy Reid has maintained he’s hopeful Vick can play and that he could play without practicing if need be, and while there’s no official word on whether Vick will go Sunday, a report in the Wilmington (Del.) News Journal cites a source who says Vick is out.

On Thursday, the Allentown Morning Call tweeted, “Don't care how tough Vick is. He ain't playing Sunday. Just saw him a minute ago. He could barely walk." But still, that was conjuncture. Now, we have an actual report. And later today, we’ll get the injury report that will tell us Vick’s chances of playing Sunday.

So, we’ll continue to wait and see, but for now, it’s not looking especially positive for Vick.

UPDATED (1:08 p.m. ET): Vick is listed as questionable on the injury report, and Reid said today that Vick is feeling better but not great. He also reiterated that Vick could play without practicing all week.

Report: Michael Vick is out for Sunday

Change the offense? They can run the exact same offense as with Vick. Vince Young is the same player, just bigger stronger and a little slower. Vince Young is the ideal backup of a vick type he can throw deep and can get first downs with his legs. You might find  that young might be the answer. But he has a very fragile psyche and needs to be coddled a bit. If reid does that, they might find that they have a star in vince young. albeit a weak minded one.

Report: Michael Vick is out for Sunday

When Vick is playing well, he is the most exciting player in the league to watch.  He isn't nearly as good as Rodgers or Brees, but he is more fun to watch.

But when he is bad he isn't even fun to watch.  I would rather he plays well because I like being entertained.  I definitely think the Eagles made a mistake signing him long term and he is a headache for any team that has him.  Sure he could theoretically put together another season like last year.  But it is also more likely that he puts together seasons like this year.

Vick is another example of a QB who cannot pass very well. I know he had a great season passing the ball, last year. But he has a history of NOT being an accurate NFL QB.
How in the world he got 2 teams to give him 100 million dollar contracts is truly mind boggling.
Is Vick an exciting player? Yes, without a doubt. Can he take a team to the Super Bowl? Not until he becomes much more efficient in the passing game!
Andy Reid has Vince Young. Oh goody, another running QB with accuracy problems.

In general, a conjuncture is a period marked by some watershed event which separates different epochs.......

The word you are looking for is CONJECTURE....why do I bother even reading items from CBS? you don't hire writers who know the english language much less the sports they write about and apparently you have no editing prior to printing an article....jeesh this is just basic stuff my jr high paper could handle.........

====================

LOL. Wrong! The definition of conjuncture is correct as used above by the author. Conjecture has another meaning entirely!
Hahaha. Hilarious.

Vick is worthless. He can't throw, so he tries to run around. Problem with that, is that doesn't complete long bomb passes down the field that can actualy get to the receiver and it also results getting Michael Vick hurt every other week.

well, i'm gonna choose to look at it this way. if vick plays thats fine with me. if he doesn't thats also fine with me because that means we don't win many games the rest of the year, which means we draft in the top ten , which also means we get a chance to get rid of some stiffs on that soft defense. now thers's only 1 problem, the people who put that soft defense together such as andy and howie. c'mon laurie are you listening, changes need to be made. enough with the gold standard and dream team bullshit lets start putting a real football team on the field!!!!!!!
