Ryan, BelichickPosted by Josh Katzowitz

Rex Ryan has been fined $75,000 by the NFL for cursing at a fan during halftime of the Jets loss to the Patriots in Week 10, CBSSports.com’s Mike Freeman first reported.

This is the second time Ryan has been fined a substantial amount of money for either making an obscene gesture or speaking inappropriately to fans.

We told you on Sunday that Ryan could expect a big fine. He had been lifted of $50,000 in 2010 for flipping fans the bird at a UFC event, and during halftime of the Jets-Patriots game, a fan yelled at him, "Hey Rex, Belichick is better than you." That led Ryan to respond, "Shut the f--- up." All of it was caught on video, forcing Ryan to apologize for his words.

"I obviously made a mistake,” Ryan said last week. “I was full of emotion and just popped off. Obviously, I know I represent the NFL, I know I represent the Jets, and I know it was a mistake. I apologize for it. It’s who I am sometimes ... I’m about as big a competitor there is. At that time, I was in no mood to hear anything, but I also understand I have to handle that better."

Way out of line but then this is Goodell's NFL and most of the fine stuff is undefined but seems most of the fans of this day and age at least agree with it or just do not know much different. So where was Belichick's fine for his flagerant conduct, according to the conduct rules should'nt his conduct from the same game draw a fine? I dis-agree with all of it but why is NOTHING defined or even equal?

"You hate cops until your house is being robbed," - then you hate them even more because they tell you they most likely won't find out who did it, they really don't have time to investigate because of "real" crime, and you should have insurance to cover the losses, so it is "no big deal"

Most lawyers are the biggest weasels and -hungry slugs of all mankind. Look at the televison advertisements they put out offering to "help" people get the money they "rightfully" have coming to them. While there are benficiaries of their weasel ways, there also are always victims, often times innocent people who lose everything they have because these weasels look to pad their already rich pockets.
Most lawyers are weasels? You could make the same argument for basically anybody providing a service that isn't financially capped by the government.  Auto-body technicians, physicians, plumbers, electricians all pad hours.  Do they all, no but like RedWings said, it's not mutually exclusive to attorneys.

I'd like to say I have no idea why people find it necessary to find a scapegoat for everything, but it's fairly obvious that it is what our society has become.  The Who's to blame for my problems society.

Where was this guy's insurance? Why should his employer have to pay for him to not work? I hope I read this wrong and that the guy sued the person who hit him and not his employer. If he did that is some serious sleazy lawyer work.

Some lawyers are weasels, but like any other profession there are plenty of good ones.  And those commercials you see where they offer to help people get what they deserve are not only paid commercials but for the most part lawyers willing to work on commission.

A good friend of mine was riding his bike to work on a nice summer day, a driver of a car wasn't looking and hit him from behind, sending him head first into a ditch.  He ended up with pretty serious injuries to his neck, both shoulders and his back.  When he finally got back to work his employer decided to look for every reason to let him go.. they replaced him.   It was a decent paying job too.

He desperately needed a lawyer... a lawyer got him a settlement that allows him to rest up for about 3 years before he has to worry about money again.  The lawyer over a 2 year period while fighting his employer had to dish out about 20 thousand dollars of his own money, with no guarantee he makes anything......

The bottom line is lawyers can do a lot of good things...... not all are scum.

Lawyers are there to help? Have you just crawled out from under a big turd?

We should include the shyster lawyers in protests against Wall Street. They are the same kind of people...looking to make big bucks at the expense of the liittle guy.

Lawyers are there to help....huh.....I am laughing to hard to give this a dignified response. Where is Idi Amin when you need them. Perhaps he could use his form of cannibalism against weasel attorneys....of course, he would probably spit out the vile product because of foul taste.

You hate cops until your house is being robbed, or daughter assualted, then the cops are your best friend.  You don't like Lawyers? Then obviously you have been on the wrong end of them.  They are there to help not hurt, although it always does not happen that way, hating a person becuase of the job they do is just ignorant.

I would like to know why the whole Ryan family can't shut their collective mouths? Buddy, who had one of the great defense's ever, still had to run his mouth about the Cowboys, Giants and every other team he played. Now his sons, Rob isn't a headcoach, but everytime he gets interviewed, bragging about an overrated Dallas defense soon follows. And Rex, where to start? First, he thinks he's this great motivator, all he does is let the players say and do practically anything. Rex, that is not leadership. And all the stupid predictions, how's that working out for you Rex?
Your team fits you to a tee. Undisiplined, erratic, and unable to back up whatever nonsence they happen to say.
$75,000 fine for cussing at a fan? That brings me to the last part of this.......class. Rex, just because you are a headcoach, doesn't give you class, how you act at all times is a better way to gauge that. Especially when the game isn't going your way, that will tell everybody about the class you have, or haven't got.

The only people despised and hated more then the police are lawyers.
Some lawyers yes, but sheesh man, Cops are not that bad. Most Cops are decent guys trying to make a living and get home to their family at the end of the day. If they make a few bucks on the side, that's OK with me. The best Cop ever, was and still is Vic Mackey.
