Redskins waive Tashard Choice

T. Choice was waived by Washington (US Presswire).Posted by Josh Katzowitz

From 2008-10, Tashard Choice was a dependable backup running back for the Cowboys, but showing how far his stock has fallen this season, he’s now been waived twice in less than a month.

After the Cowboys got rid of him at the end of October, the Redskins signed him. But after only making six carries for seven yards vs. his old team Sunday (after sitting out two games with a hamstring injury), Washington officially waived him Tuesday.

Washington did give him a chance to make a big impact Sunday. With the Cowboys leading by seven points and the Redskins on Dallas’ 2-yard line, Rex Grossman handed off to Choice on first down. Choice promptly lost two yards. The Redskins eventually scored on the drive, but the failure of Choice on his opportunity was noticeable.

“I just wish I could’ve got it in right there,” Choice said after the game, via the Washington Post.

And at this point, Choice has to be wondering if that cost him his job.

Yeah, looks like Tashard was a bad Choice for the 'Skins, but they only picked him up so they could pick his brain on what little he could remember about the Dallas Offensive Scheme... of course, he couldn't remember most of it, as he didn't learn much of it while he was a Cowboy!  So his usefulness to the 'skins was limited... and 6 tries for 7 yards....ha, easy Choice....the Waiver Wire!

Don't be surprised if he ends up in New York before Dec 11... the Giants may try the brain scan thing too.

Back to last Sundays game... it looks like ex-Cowboy DE Stephen Bowen quit trying to mimic Tony Romo's cadence as it seemed to JINX his new team last time they played..... also, it's been played on YouTube too many times to overlook by the refs now....    &nbs

And now, the Dolphin's come to Dallas.... oh, dear!  Seems like LAST time the 'fins came to Dallas for Thanksgiving we had a turkey named LEON LETT give away a sure WIN for a slide in the snow....

Ain't NOTHIN' easy in this city!!!

Buffalo has claimed Choice and they are now on the hook for contract that he signed with Dallas. if you claim a player on waivers you absorb said contract.

Injuries have taken their toll BIGTIME.  I know everyone says, "That's part of the game", and "everyone deals with injuries".  But imagine taking the #1 WR, the starting tail back, the tight end out of the equation for any NFL team.  It's hard to overcome.  The Defense was played well -  The playcalling on offense has been suspect at times.  Rex Grossman in a white Donavan McNabb.  He's makes several incredible throws and then collapsesd mentally.  He looks AMAZING at timesd.  He has a quick release, great footwork.  He's just a BONEHEAD.  He had a solid history of making mistakes at critical times.  Why did management think this was going to suddenly change in 2011- 2012?  How can the offense flat line like it has at times?  The futility was unprecedented in Shanahan's career.  Is Jr. doing a good job?

I know that Shanny needs 2-3 more years and I guess at this point I hope he gets it, or it will be another wasted experiment on Snyger's part.  He ditched Norv, and Shotenheimer, which I guess is a good thing being that they haven't won shi* anywhere else they coached.  Norv is still riding on the coattails of the big three in Big D an age later.

Remeber The Ole Ball Coach,  He had his professional coaching "experiment" in the NFL with the Redskins.  He won some battles.  Lost the war.  Now he's back where he belongs in college football.  I love Spurrier myself. I wish he could have built something in Washington.  Evidentally, that's a tough town to get anything done or to do anything the right way.  Albert Hayensworth?  What a joke.

Supposedly the little man with the big ego has relinquished all football operations to the GM and to Shanahan.  Let's hope they can put something together and get to the big game.  It's only been about 50 years since the Skins were relevant.  I feel sorry for all the older Skins fans that are croaking before they see the Skins win again because of the little midget in a suit that has run the organization into the ground.  When will he hodl HIMSELF accountable and sell the team?  I think I'll give Shanahan a shot at getting a system established, and wait another 3-5 years to care about the Super Bowl when it's played.

It's a good thing the NFL got it's feces consolidated and didn't miss regualr season games this year.  They would have lost fans, this one included.  The NBA players should be ashamed of themselves.  50/50 split with owners on revenue and salaries averaging 5.5 million, at a time when Americans are having a hard time economically.  They have their nerve not getting back to work.  The owners and the players cared so much about themselves, they forgot about the fans.  We're just left out here working our asses for a year to make what they do in half a game.  Am I missing something?   I am sorry, but what would these dudes be doing if not for playing in the NBA?  Sure there are amany players that would be able to take care of themselves and make a living other wise.  The majority would have a hard time making 5.5 million out there n the private sector, or the REAL world.

What were we talking about?  Oh yeah -  The Redskins SUCK -

I think a more interesting point to this story is who is on the hook to pay Choice? Not that I care how much he makes but the dynamics of the whole deal.

Is Choice still collecting money from the Cowboys because of his contract and league tenure? Do the 'Skins only owe him three game checks (the length of his time in Washington) or are they on the hook for the rest of his contract? Or is Choice done dealing all together?

Just would like to know how a player is paid.

Keep doing what you are doing Redskins. Not the losing but let the young guys play and get experience. Have another draft like last year but focus a little more on the offense. Need QB, 2 OL, 1 RB, 2WR and a couple more on defense. As experience of young guys grows the more wins we will have. I'm definately not happy with the season but they are playing hard every game and that's what counts. I don't agree with all the decisions the coach is making but he inherited a terrible old team. It will turn around if they stay thee course.

The Giants need to run not walk and pick up this guy. One they can use him and two they have two games coming up with Dallas. To not pick him up would be a huge mistake...

Hey Mikie, FIRST you get an Oline that can actually BLOCK; THEN you get production out of your RB's! (just ask Emmitt Smith, he'll explain it to you.)
