Scobee and Jackson in Twitter disagreement

You could understand why Eagles fans -- not to mention the team’s coach -- would be upset by DeSean Jackson these past few weeks.

After all, he slept through a Saturday special teams meeting, leading Andy Reid to bench him in Week 10, and then last week, after making a 50-yard reception, he flipped the ball to Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, drawing a personal foul penalty and losing the entire gain.

But you know the moment you’ve really crossed the line? When another team’s kicker comes at you sideways on Twitter.

Scobee tweet

On Sunday, after Jackson’s ball presentation to Fewell, Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee tweeted the following: “Desean Jackson is a punk. #growuputinybastard.” To further clarify his thoughts, Scobee then wrote: “Relax people. He’s just a punk which means to me he doesn’t respect anyone or anything around him. Therefore I don’t respect him.”

On Tuesday, Jackson finally got around to responding, and he didn’t take to Scobee’s opinion all that kindly, writing, “This man @joshscobee is Waaaaaaay outta LIne!! Stick to ya Own business.. Mind ya own!! I don't respect what u sayin.. Lil Boi status.”

Jackson tweet

As the Big Lead points out, the tale of the tape if the two ever got into the boxing ring favors Scobee, who’s 6-foot-1 and 192 pounds compared to Jackson’s 5-10, 175-pound frame.

On Monday, Scobee backtracked by writing, "Shouldn't have called Desean Jackson that, I used the wrong words to try and make my point."

Maybe in order to settle this, Scobee could attempt really long field goals, and if they fall short, Jackson could attempt to run them back for touchdowns. Other than that, this is just a good ol’ Twitter feud that, unlike Osi Umenyiora vs. LeSean McCoy, is likely to end sooner rather than later.

Scobee and Jackson in Twitter disagreement

Relax, everyone.  This is merely a war of words, and Jackson won.  His English is far better than Scobee's.  I mean, he's so intelligent, he's creating words and phrases that most of us think have no meaning.  "Mind ya own!! I don't respect what u sayin.."  That sounds like intelligent poetry to me, not uneducated, moronic blabber.  This man is so smart.  Josh Scobee should learn how to write a real sentence.

Scobee and Jackson in Twitter disagreement

It doesnt matter who plays what position. Josh Scobee is as important as Jackson. Kickers win games just as anyone else does is the NFL. Look at when then giants punter Matt Dodge punted that ball to Jackson a year ago, he lost the game and Jackson won it. Adam Vinitieri? How many games did he win for the Pats on his own. And atleast Josh Scobee represented himself well by speaking proper English, and goes to practices. Jackson speaks poor English, doesnt show for practice, costs his team plays and to add insult to injury he tweets, if he really didnt care what Scobee said then why respond? Scobee stated his opinion, and the way some of these NFL Icons get when they get paid, they think they are invincible. Someone needs to stand up and set people straight.

Would it matter if Tom Brady said something, or John Madden? No

Scobee and Jackson in Twitter disagreement

Josh Scobee is a kicker...he should stick to kicking. As Gary Andersen used to do, show up for practice/games, read the stock quotes, maybe the funnies and kick the ball a few times. We saw a few years ago what happens to a kicker who spouts off, they end up as assistant managers in Rite-Aids or Targets in the middle of Bump A$$, USA. Josh, from all of us to you, please stop yapping and simply kick the ball. Thank you.

Scobee and Jackson in Twitter disagreement

First off I agree Jackson is some kind of punk.  It could be very well said he cost his team a possible win against Arizona with getting himself benched, especially when Macklin got injured.  Jackson can be an exciting player, but its his God given skills and not his brain that makes him that way.  Jackson needs to grow up a lot if he going to become the player his talent affords him.  If you look at his WR stats their nothing to get excited about with only two touchdowns.  As far as Josh Scobee, he needs to stick to kicking and forget about bad mouthing other players.  Hey Josh, if you want to bad mouth someone take a look at your own team and how pathetic you season record is.  To even be commenting on such dribble tells you how my Saturday night is going LOL.

Jackson is a waste of talent and he's never gonna win a thing in his life cause he is a major douche bag!  Keep on taunting and pretending your the man! Loser

If the King of Douches AROD can win something then all the douches stand a chance.

Dream Teamers? Vince Young (only) said that 5 months ago.....
Something a little more original please?

Desean Jackson is an idiot.  Lil Boi status?  He sounds like a dumb 13 year old trying to be cool.  You're not going to get a new contract with the Eagles, punk, and you don't deserve one anyway.

Scobee is uset that Desean cheated on him with McCoy and Osi.... Talk about losing fantasy points!!! They are all out of line... Scobee was probably hammered and D Jax is a ****smoke all of the time... Good way for a kicker to get facetime though!!
