We probably won't know Ndamukong Suh's fate until Monday or Tuesday, but that doesn't mean it's still not one of the biggest stories of Week 12. Suh, one of the Lions' best players, was ejected from the Thanksgiving Day game against the Packers for stomping on Green Bay guard Evan Dietrich-Smith's arm.

On Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Suh is expected to be suspended for at least two games.

Is Ndamukong Suh dirty?

After the his ejection Thursday, Suh offered up a lame excuse for his actions before apologizing a day later on his Facebook page.

Suh said he's now ready to move on from the incident.

"I want to reiterate my commitment to working to become a better player, and professional—on and off the field. My reaction on Thursday was unacceptable. I made a mistake, and have learned from it. I hope to direct the focus back to the task at hand — by winning," Suh wrote on Facebook.

But it's not enough to just say you're sorry and you're ready to get on with the rest of your life. In addition to how severely the NFL will punish him, there are also concerns in the Lions' locker room about Suh's antics. Specifically, some of his teammates are also tired of it. NFL Network's Jason La Canfora confirmed as much during Sunday's NFL GameDay Morning.

"The interesting thing, there are people in his own locker room that think [a suspension's] called for," La Canfora said.

Does a reported two-game punishment fit the crime? No idea. (Worth noting: CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman warns that, given NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's history of suspending players, we shouldn't expect a huge punishment for Suh.) But if it's to the point where Suh's teammates are fed up, then maybe a stiffer sanction will have a better chance of getting through to him, and in his words, help him "to become a better player, and professional—on and off the field."

Report: Ndamukong Suh to be suspended 2 games

I laugh at the fact that the NFL fines these guys.  It's a complete joke.  I have never seen a fine impact a player financially to the point where that player was like, 'Oh snap, better not do that again or I may have to get a second job.'  When guys who make millions are fined thousands, it's like a slap in the face to all the rest of us.  Suh is a great talent - he just needs to be more careful about how he acts on the field.

This guy is a great player but also very dirty. There is no place in the game for the type of unsportsmanship Suh displayed on Thursday. There is a big difference in being a mean , tough , hard nosed player to being dirty. Bottom line no matter how deep the Detroit line is he hurts the team if he is suspended and when he gets tossed. That is called selfish.

Suh is too rough and dirty to play in the NFL. The NFL is about softness, gentleness, love and compassion.  Mean Joe Greene and Deacon Jones would never have made it in today's  NFL.

One of the Chicago Tribune sportswriters referred to him as Ndamukong Zambrano which was a great built-in analogy. Carlos Zambrano teases the fans and his coaches (manager), and his GMs with his clear talent and exhuberance. But in the end, he repeatedly hurts his team with his erratic behavior and lack of self-control. He has KILLED the Cubs by leaving a whole in their rotation when he gets suspended and more importantly, by dividing a locker room between his followers and detractors. The lions are facing the same situation with Suh - he will inevitably destroy this team and will eventually move on to another team that will be inamoured by his talent and hope to change his true self. Of course, like Albert Haynesworth, he will prove to be unchangable and will eventually fall out of the league and end up in some cage match against Jose Canseco.

This is the Terrell Owens of the defensive side. If he is good, then being a total douche is over-whelmingly overshadowing his gameplay. Because his antics are getting tired league wide, not just by player's but fans alike. I hope for the Lions to do well, but not with this jackass on the team.
