We probably won't know Ndamukong Suh's fate until Monday or Tuesday, but that doesn't mean it's still not one of the biggest stories of Week 12. Suh, one of the Lions' best players, was ejected from the Thanksgiving Day game against the Packers for stomping on Green Bay guard Evan Dietrich-Smith's arm.

On Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Suh is expected to be suspended for at least two games.

Is Ndamukong Suh dirty?

After the his ejection Thursday, Suh offered up a lame excuse for his actions before apologizing a day later on his Facebook page.

Suh said he's now ready to move on from the incident.

"I want to reiterate my commitment to working to become a better player, and professional—on and off the field. My reaction on Thursday was unacceptable. I made a mistake, and have learned from it. I hope to direct the focus back to the task at hand — by winning," Suh wrote on Facebook.

But it's not enough to just say you're sorry and you're ready to get on with the rest of your life. In addition to how severely the NFL will punish him, there are also concerns in the Lions' locker room about Suh's antics. Specifically, some of his teammates are also tired of it. NFL Network's Jason La Canfora confirmed as much during Sunday's NFL GameDay Morning.

"The interesting thing, there are people in his own locker room that think [a suspension's] called for," La Canfora said.

Does a reported two-game punishment fit the crime? No idea. (Worth noting: CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman warns that, given NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's history of suspending players, we shouldn't expect a huge punishment for Suh.) But if it's to the point where Suh's teammates are fed up, then maybe a stiffer sanction will have a better chance of getting through to him, and in his words, help him "to become a better player, and professional—on and off the field."

Hey rodneythedog...

It is always a good idea when you are hammering someone else for their intellect that you make sure you spell the word "intelligence" correctly.  Kind of destroys your credibility when you are unable to handle that daunting task.

Im sick of hearing all this nonsense about Suh! I'm not crazy about what he did, but after all, the GBay player said he didn't even realize anything happen until he saw the replays later. The way everyone is talking, you'd think Suh sodomized and then shot him. Why don't we just starting playing two hand touch? While watching the bear game today, EVERY time the bear QB got hit or knocked down he'd look at the ref and whine. It's really get out of hand.
Back to Suh. If he gets suspended for two games, he loses about a million dollars in pay. I'd say that's a little stiff for the offense wouldn't you? I've seen a hell  of a lot worse over the years with no penalty even breing called!!

Anyone would want him on their team

Nope! No thanks! I will definitely pass.  I don't support this kind of player .. never have .. never will.  You can keep him!

+1......I don't want that kind of jackass on my team.  He might be good....but he hurts the team as often as he helps it.  Pass.

It is not Suh back in the secondary breaking up passes and making plays, its not suh stopping the run and pressuring the qb, he isnt even tops on his own team in lineman statistics, yes he is strong and a disruptive force, but ok, let him play titty bump with a couple linemen all game and you can pretty much count him neutralized (see the panthers game replay).. you cannot say the increasinlgly better play of the detriot lions D is contributed to Suh and only suh. And to try an say it is is a slap in the face of your teams D.. so to you its not tulloch, houston, avril, vanden bosch, fairly or any of those guys? its all suh? you are downing your own team to help your arguement for Suh? how about when he stomped on the dude got thrown out green bay got the ball back with a first down and goal scored and tooka 14-0 lead. you think that had nothing to do with deflating the lions? but i guess you cn say it was all cuz Suh wasnt there if you need to lol detriots a team on the rise with or without suh, ill admit that, but they do not need a player like Suh if that is what he calls football, his own teammates, at EVERY LEVEL of the sport, collegiate and the nfl, think he is a dirty player, see Matt Slausen or some of the in house unanimous comments coming from the lions clubhouse, sorry redwings, he is good, not great, not a clean player, and definetly not everything to the lions D. give the 10 other guys on the D some credit, football is not a one man sport.

I don't think Suh gets it. What I'm really curious about is the effect this will have on his endorsements. He's prominently featured on ads for Subway and Chrysler these days and I have to believe that both companies aren't especially happy about it. He's also a spokesman for Omaha Steaks, probably a leftover from his Nebraska days.

He's a tremendously talented guy but he'll not be long for this league if he keeps this sort of thing up.

Two games??  With his track record??  Not enough . . . not nearly enough!!  He needs to be suspended for the remainder of the season . . . then maybe he'll get a clue!  I'm not buying his wanting to be a better player and that he's learned from his mistake!  He's just trying to save his a$$ and minimize his punishment!  He's not the least bit sorry about what he did . . . only that no one believed his sorry explanation afterwards and that he's going to be fined and suspended!  Once a dirty player and a thug . . . always a dirty player and a thug!!

Agreed, especially when you have many other quality DT's out there who don't get penalties. I love Ngata, he is a game changer without penalties & commands doubles as well.
