Report: Eagles assistants had to be separated

As if things couldn’t get any worse in Philadelphia, there were reports after the Eagles 38-20 loss to the Patriots that assistant coaches Marty Mornhinweg and Jim Washburn got into a verbal confrontation on the sideline and actually had to be separated before it got physical.

Week 12 in review
And it actually occurred when Philadelphia was still leading New England.

According to CSN Philly, the two have not had problems with each other before, and while there’s been no official word on why the two went after each other on the sideline Sunday, the Philadelphia Daily News speculated that Washburn -- the defensive line coach -- didn’t appreciate the play-calling of Mornhinweg, the offensive coordinator.

Particularly during the second quarter when the Patriots were in the middle of a 17-point spree and Mornhinweg continued calling for pass after pass (you’ll note that Vince Young threw for 400 yards but LeSean McCoy only recorded 10 carries). At one point, the Eagles went three-and-out on three incomplete passes, not giving Philadelphia’s defense enough time to rest.

Which might have contributed to a terrible second quarter for the Eagles defense. Not to mention an upset Washburn.

So has this thread turned into that game where you whisper a sentence to the person next to you, then let it continue around the room this way and see what comes out the other end??  Seriously WTF happened here.  Talk about a car wreck!

Clean Out

Time for the eagles billionaire owner to clean house and get rid of all these worthless coaches and 3/4 of the overpaid players.  The party's over.

Stallworth killed a person so now dogs are worth more than people. Is that the argument here. Cause that is a problem.

Nobody even came close to saying that.  Re-read his statement.  No one in there right mind would put all of the dogs in the world as more important than a human's life

I know you feel your pet is a part of the family but a dog is a dog.

Most people KNOW that there dog is part of their family.  If someone purposely tortured my dog I would be willing to go to jail or the hospital to equal the act.  There is nothing more cowardly than someone torturing something that can't defend itself.  If "The Redemption Story" Vick and his boys from Bad Newz Kennelz (I still can't believe those low lifes would actually call it that) came and hung me from a tree, I'd bow down and proclaim them gods.  But I'm a grown a.s.s man not a 50lb. dog, they can't do that to someone their own size and capablities....they're all soft as.s. bi.t.ch.es!

Some countryies each dogs as food. But they dont eat people.

Never understood that argument either.  Some countries eat dogs?  Ok.  Some countries cut the arms off the males and impregnate the females.  If it came out that Michael Vick was eating dogs, people would probably just think it was weird.  He tortured these animals because they underperformed.

Stall worth payed off the family thats why it was so light. A drunk driver paying off the family of someone he killed while drunk and u say he made a mistake.

And here's where people don't use FACTS.  Stallworth payed off the family because of the civil suit.  How many people actually know the FACTS of that ACCIDENT?   Here's a quick summary for ya:  Yes, he was out drinking the night before, he fell asleep at 4 and woke up to drive a girl home.  Coming down off of a bridge in Florida in the morning sun he struck the victim that he saw at the last second.  It wasn't because he was drunk the night before that he killed the guy.  Any of us could have done that.  THE VICTIM JUMPED OVER A 3 ft GUARDRAIL AND WAS CROSSING 6 LANES OF TRAFFIC.  HERE'S THE KICKER....THE VICTIM WAS ALSO UNDER THE INFLUENCE.  As soon as Stallworth hit him, he stopped, jumped out, called 911 and tried to help the guy.  All of that was verified by multiple witnesses.  Those are FACTS.  Nobody gets off with DUI Vehicular Manslaughter.  Nobody.  And that's why he got 30 days in jail, because yes he did hit him but it wasn't his fault.  Plus, celebrities settle in civil suits all the time so the other party is never allowed to talk about it, make money off interviews, or profit from their name in any other way.

Iv lost someone because of drunk driver. I would go out and kill 30 dogs If that was the way to get that special person back

I 100% agree with this last point and feel sorry for your loss as I've been around that pain as well.

I think Andy out lived his stay.  Correct me if I'm wrong but it's my understanding that Reid has serious problems with his sons.  Maybe he should pack it in and worry about the home front.  Any man that can't manage his family is not capable of managing a team!!!  Time to step down Andy!

Your comments are right on!  Animals should not be abused but human life is A#1.  Maybe someone should tell that to PETA!!!

but no offseason workouts or limited preseason is not an excuse for the Eagles....every team that they have lost to in the 4th quarter had the same problem.

1boys, I can accept that response.  Desean Jackson is definitely a punk.  I love watching him play, but he is all about himself and not the team, so he is not good for the long haul.  Definitely exciting, but not somebody to build your team around.  It is funny, but it always seems to be WRs that have that attitude.  TO, Bryant, Jackson, Ochocinco, Moss, etc.

But the Eagles don't have anybody else that I would put in that category.  They are just poorly coached.  They remind me of the Yankees of the 80's...go out and buy all the talent you can, doesn't matter if they fit your needs.  Asamuja (I can't spell it, and don't have time to look it up) is athe perfect example...he is not a zone CB.  He is a cover guy, and we don't let him play that way.  So he is having a bad season.  I don't blame him.  I blame the idiots running the team.

Thunderpants - think about what you're writing.  You really expect anything good out of 50% of the teams when they had no off season work-outs and a non existent free agency / rookie period for players to get to know their new teams?  There's your answer to the horrible football...Except for Green Bay.
