No, we're not trolling for podcast downloads -- this is a serious question: is Tim Tebow a Pro Bowl candidate?

OK, so it's not a totally serious question, because he's not a Pro Bowler. But the idea's being thrown around, so Andy Benoit and I break down the possibility.

We also do our Film Room spin around the upcoming games, wondering if the Texans can keep winning with T.J. Yates under center, whether the (fizzling?) Lions can slow down the (sizzling?) Saints, if the Vikings are a dead-team walking sans Adrian Peterson, if the Bengals can get revenge on the Steelers, if the Giants can turn things around against the Packers, where the Chargers/Jaguars go from here, and much, much more.

Pick-Six Podcast: Tebow a Pro Bowler + Film Room

Have you ever played a team that runs as much as Denver does? Look at how tired the defenses look in the 4th quarter after getting beat on all game long. I hate when people just bring in Tebow's passing stats. He has only turned the ball over once! Once! That helps his defense out, whcih they have been playing at an amzing level but Tebow doesn't put them in bad situations either. Now I'm not saying that this will continue after this year or even for the rest of this year, but people only look at stats who have never played football. I'll tell you one thing a defense after they play Denver's offense is definitely going to be feeling it. Most defense would rather see you try and throw the ball over on them.

This is an exact reason to why the Pro Bowl is a joke.  The fact that Teblow would even be considered for the Pro Bowl is commical and so are his pathetic QB stats. 65/143 comp. 45.5% for 852 and 8 TDs, 78 rushing attepmts for 455 yards and 3 TD's, now tell me where you see Pro Bowl worthy numbers?? The top 3 Pro Bowl QBs in the AFC should be Brady, Roethlisberger and Dalton.  Teblow shouldn't even be in the top 5.  Now, I am sure the Teblow jock strap huggers will try to use the saying "all he does is win" but, that's BS too.  Denvers defense is the reason they have won 4 straight.  And that arguemnt wouldn't hold water against Brady, Roethlisberger or Dalton anyways.

This read option crap is going to fizzle just as fast as the wild cat offense did.  At first it was pretty succesful because it was something different, very predictable but defenses weren't use to playing against it.  As soon as defenses catch on to Teblow handing the ball off or faking the hand off 60 plays a game, Teblow will be forced to throw his wounded ducks in to the dirt 5 yards in front of his WR's.

Really are you kidding me, NO! Stop all this hype about this guy he isn't the second coming and he is not a Pro Bowl QB, not even close. Does anyone think he is better than Cam Newton?  How about just the AFL? Brady, Andy Dalton, Roethlisberger, or even Carson Palmer? I could go on but why. Look at the teams Denver has beaten and only one have the chance of getting to the play-offs, not counting the Bengals which Orton was the starter. Lets see how well Denver does against a good team with an offense like NE or defense like Chicago because Detroit sure put a hurt on them.
