Early Saturday morning, Lions star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, currently suspended by the NFL, was involved in a single-car accident in downtown Portland.

According to Portland Police, via KOIN Channel 6 News, officers responded to reports of a single-car that crashed into a tree at Southwest 3rd and Burnside Street in downtown Portland. Suh was the driver of the 1970 Chevrolet Coupe and, according to police, hit a curb, a light pole, a drinking fountain and a tree.

Officers determined that Suh was not impaired and "simply lost control of his vehicle." Neither Suh, a native of Portland, nor the two other passengers in the car were injured according to the report.

The timing of the incident is a bit odd -- Suh is in the middle of serving the aforementioned suspension for his now infamous actions in Detroit's Thanksgiving loss. (He appealed the suspension but lost.) But it makes sense that Suh was in Portland, primarily because the defensive tackle isn't allowed to practice with the Lions while serving his suspension.

Sounds like it's time for a Tony Dungy intervention for this young man...

Excuse me, but Suh's reputation was earned and not given to him. He is a punk plain and simple. But for this article that is neither here nor there. The man put his opinion in the article and it made no sense whatsoever to me. I drive at all hours of the day simply because I love to drive and I will defend his right to do that especially since he is NOT allowed near his team while suspended. Some of this stuff is absolutely pathetic.
A bit of convecture on my part which could be pure hallucination is..... Maybe he was driving and thinking about his situation and lost his temper again mashing on the gas and losing control of his vehicle? Just a thought, LOL! Have a great day. By the way, Suh is not all bad he is just very immature. Hopefully he will grow up soon because I would hate to see him waste all that athletic talent.

How symbolic. He loses control of his car just like he's losing control of his anger--and his life. Was he texting while driving? What in the world was he doing to lose control with two others in the car with him?
This is a young man who needs a serious wake-up call ASAP.

Who cares why he was driving at 3am. And why would the writer say the timing is odd? How is it odd? Is he suggesting this was intentional? Stupid writing and a dumb post.

Exactly.  Stupid writing is exactly what that was.   But I will tell you what IS very ODD..... it's that fans of opposing teams outside the Lions division are for the most part making good posts like you did while Packer and Bears fans are making the dumbest comments imagineable.

Well... then again, maybe it isn't that odd.... should be expected I guess.

Although, I live in SE Michigan and would  to be in Portland right now, it makes you wonder what kinda teammate Suh is if he isn't working out in Detroit or traveling with the team to the game.  I would think he would at least want to be at the game instead of watching the bad NBC covereage Sunday night like the rest of us.

Even though you're a Bears fan I would still expect you to be a little smarter then you are.  Suh isn't allowed to practice with the Lions or be at their facilities at all while he's suspended.  I doubt the league is going to let him spend a few days in New Orleans hanging out with them at the Saints facility.  Either way, you're stupid.

By the way, Cutler is out and Hanie is the qb in Chicago right now.... since you probably didn't even have a clue.

Some people will call this karma, but Suh is a great NFL player that has just has been given a bad rep. Hopefully after this suspension he gets his act together and if Suh continues to improve so will the Lions.

Thanks, dixemup!  Unfortunately, I've got to run, so I'll say good afternoon.  (Sorry if I misspelled your name before, by the way--not intentional, just bad proofreading on my part.)  (Although, to be honest, I have on occasion been known to make some strategic changes in certain posters' names when sorely provoked.  We're all human!)

Argo & Spartacus - truly funny stuff - I'm laughing out loud at your posts -

I would've just put up LOL , but , I'm not sure whether that would be okay with Cal.

jltexas -
how many of you sit there and proof read before you post???
I do for one , although for all my proofreading , I still got called out by Cal for punctuation or lack thereof.

As for the rest of your comment I'll stand by argo's response in total.

P.S. - Any punctuation mistakes on my last few posts , Teacher Cal ?
