Ndamukong Suh in single-car wreck Saturday

Early Saturday morning, Lions star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, currently suspended by the NFL, was involved in a single-car accident in downtown Portland.

According to Portland Police, via KOIN Channel 6 News, officers responded to reports of a single-car that crashed into a tree at Southwest 3rd and Burnside Street in downtown Portland. Suh was the driver of the 1970 Chevrolet Coupe and, according to police, hit a curb, a light pole, a drinking fountain and a tree.

Officers determined that Suh was not impaired and "simply lost control of his vehicle." Neither Suh, a native of Portland, nor the two other passengers in the car were injured according to the report.

The timing of the incident is a bit odd -- Suh is in the middle of serving the aforementioned suspension for his now infamous actions in Detroit's Thanksgiving loss. (He appealed the suspension but lost.) But it makes sense that Suh was in Portland, primarily because the defensive tackle isn't allowed to practice with the Lions while serving his suspension.

Yeah, like the crash he had in college where he managed to hit cars on both sides of the road.  It was a well known fact around Omaha Lincoln area that Suh wasn't opposed to drinking then driving home.

The road caused him to lose his balance and he hit the curb, light pole, drinking fountain and tree in order to regain it. He would never try to damage an inanimate object. The man upstairs knows this.

Not a DUI or DWI??  Wonder if he stomped the curb, tree & what was left of the car. The Lions need to get Suh help before he injures someone else.

Ndamukong Suh in single-car wreck Saturday

"Late Saturday night (at 1:15 AM, technically Sunday morning) Lions star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was involved in a single-car accident in downtown Portland."

WOW ! ! !

CBS & Brinson are now predicting the future !

dixermup, I didn't see the original version of the story before they (re)edited it, but did it really refer to Saturday night/Sunday morning rather than Friday night/Saturday morning?  If so, I applaud your sharp eyes.

No doubt the writer was reckoning without the International Date Line.  Without that, if you go around the world a few times, you can make it any date you want,  Actually, I think Edgar Allan Poe once wrote a story about that . . .

Wow, have to love the joke display of journalism from CBS. Who cares that this happened a few days after the suspension, it is irrevlent and furthermore why is this even a story?

As for people complaining about him being out that late, I'm sure we have all been driving that late for one reason or another and it not be anything suspicious or anything. Let the man live his life, if he was drinking I'm sure the police may have noticed.

There are a lot of mistakes in your comment there grammar cop. Try ending your sentences with punctuation. And try not to be such a grammar cop, nobody likes them.
