Ndamukong Suh in single-car wreck Saturday

Early Saturday morning, Lions star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, currently suspended by the NFL, was involved in a single-car accident in downtown Portland.

According to Portland Police, via KOIN Channel 6 News, officers responded to reports of a single-car that crashed into a tree at Southwest 3rd and Burnside Street in downtown Portland. Suh was the driver of the 1970 Chevrolet Coupe and, according to police, hit a curb, a light pole, a drinking fountain and a tree.

Officers determined that Suh was not impaired and "simply lost control of his vehicle." Neither Suh, a native of Portland, nor the two other passengers in the car were injured according to the report.

The timing of the incident is a bit odd -- Suh is in the middle of serving the aforementioned suspension for his now infamous actions in Detroit's Thanksgiving loss. (He appealed the suspension but lost.) But it makes sense that Suh was in Portland, primarily because the defensive tackle isn't allowed to practice with the Lions while serving his suspension.

Never A Doubt - you are correct

it is a little mistake

it WAS easily corrected

My point was - why be in such a hurry to be the first with a story ?  especially if there are errors ?

the original article posted at 1:11 - the corrected article at 1:15 -

Wouldn't it have been better to just proofread the article & post it at 1:12 or 1:13 without errors ?

I guess I just expect more & have higher standards for any media sources than you do

Your response & Brinson's post are just another mediocre result of the "don't keep score at soccer , so no feelings are hurt by losing" generation

& no I'm not perfect - I was just sarcastically pointing out a media mistake - you're just trolling - so go back to your soccer game or pretending your David Beckham on your XBox and have a good day

Lot's of black ice on the roads in Portland, especially in the wee hours of the morning...  why is he driving at 3 am in the first place...

Gee, I dunno. Have you ever been driving at 3 am?

It happens, you know. Every night. People out driving. And nobody finds it especially odd.

He's a grown man, what's wrong with him being out at 3:00 A.M.?? It's better than some who are at the clubs, getting into fights, gunplay, wife beating. He's back home, nothing wrong with what happened here.

while under suspension, he isnt allowed to be at the teams facility, travel with the team, or be on the sidelines during the game.

Who cares why he was driving at 3am. And why would the writer say the timing is odd? How is it odd? Is he suggesting this was intentional? Stupid writing and a dumb post.

Although, I live in SE Michigan and would love to be in Portland right now, it makes you wonder what kinda teammate Suh is if he isn't working out in Detroit or traveling with the team to the game.  I would think he would at least want to be at the game instead of watching the bad NBC covereage Sunday night like the rest of us.

Well, people who actually read the article aren't wondering anything.

I don't believe he can travel, practice or engage in any team function while suspended.
